So... Out of nowhere i am getting this message, and all my comments are normal. And do not got against the ToS. I checked and my last visible comment was from 2 months ago... I have sent 2 emails to support and i havent recieved an answer in a week.

i turned off all popup blockers, cache deletion etc. but it just doesnt matter. if it would just run i didnt care it takes 5h or 10h to download something, but it just keeps cutting for no reason. none of my downloads ever cut. not on steam, not on gog, not on modnexus, nowhere except itch. 

and then for some random reason, after trying for two days, the download suddenly keeps going and finishes. its like bro, i dont have time to bruteforce a download for two days everytime i want to download a game, why is this stuff happening?

ive been searching the internet for clues about that problem on and off since last years and despite looking at several forum posts about bad downloads i never got a proper answer. 

- Pixel art

- Play as a tall character

- Start off imprisoned in some building

- Has butterflies as collectibles

- Has a lot of gray for backgrounds

- Some of the gameplay near the beginning requires going through a vent system to a blocked room

Why do devs do this? If they choose to discount a game by some amount on steam, why are they unwilling to do the same on itch? 

I’m writing to request a re-indexing for my game, Xmas KPI.

The game was published 2 days ago and was appearing in search results correctly. However, after I uploaded a new build to add an achievement system and update some assets today, it completely disappeared from the search and browse pages.

I have read the "Getting Indexed" guide and verified my settings:

• The project is set to Public.
• It has a cover image and is fully playable in the browser.
• I have not used any misleading tags or made major changes to the metadata.

I suspect the automated filter may have flagged my account because I made a few quick updates in a short period to improve the game content. Since this is a seasonal game for Christmas, losing visibility during its launch window is very critical for the project.

Could a moderator please take a look and restore the indexing for this project?

I just set up a Winter Sale for one game, but the sale isn't appearing on the project page, so can only be accessed through the Sale page. Did I do something wrong or is this an itch.io bug? I read the information about setting up a sale and I can't see anything I missed, so the sale should appear on the project page. I'm not sure how to fix it.

Hi everyone,

I’m the developer behind shikashidev and I’m looking for help getting a project reindexed / removed from quarantine, since it was blocked after a recent update.

What happened:

• In the past, I created one page per version/update.

• I later understood from itch.io’s guidance that I should keep a single project page and publish updates there, because creating new pages can be seen as spam.

• On my latest update (after changing the access/distribution setup), I mistakenly created one last separate page, and it was blocked / placed in quarantine.

Waiting time: I’ve already been waiting for more than 20 days for this to be resolved, and I’m not sure if anything else is required on my side or if my request is stuck somewhere in the queue.

What I need now: I want to follow exactly what itch.io proposed: keep the game under one project and publish future versions via updates on that same page.
We have a new version scheduled to release this week, so I’m trying to get the page status resolved so I can release properly.

If there’s anything specific I need to change (tags, warnings, page text, distribution setup, etc.), please let me know and I’ll fix it immediately.

I also sent an email to itch support about this on November 12th (Request: 323183) and i’m just following up on it now.

Recently, whenever I try to post a comment, it shows the message “Awaiting moderator approval.” I’m not sure what caused it 

my last activity was about 18 days ago when I left a comment on a post and the only recent change I made was updating my profile name.

I’ve seen other users mention they are experiencing the same issue, so I wanted to ask whether this might be a temporary site-wide moderation filter or something that commonly happens after certain account changes.

I also contacted support just in case, and my ticket ID is 329094, but I thought I’d ask the community too in case others have insight.

I thought the new .gif files I was trying to upload were the problem, but even why I try to post older .gif's that are already on my page, they appear as static images, while the ones that are already on there are working just fine.

^^ Can you guys let me know if these are animated for you? Is this just an issue on my end?

Hopefully this gets resolved as soon as possible so that my account can return to being able to post comments normally again without constantly needing moderator approval.

I'm creating this topic because I tried contacting Itchio via email, as they themselves request on the website. It's been a week now, with no response or sign of life. This is delaying my work and my ability to attract an audience. I'd like to know if I'm the only one having this problem, or what I can do? Even creating a new account resulted in the same message... Frustrating.

But in short, it was a visual novel made by a group of people/a French creator; I'm sure of that because one of the characters had several nicknames that only made sense in French. 

The game was kind of a comedy and wasn't taken seriously, and for a long time I thought I was hallucinating about it, but I managed to recover one of the images that I sent to my friend back then. 

I'm almost certain it was swept under the rug by Itch.io because it should have had an NSFW tag. 

Below is the only image I managed to save from this game; the protagonist is the one with brown hair, and his rival is the one with dark hair. 

Please help me at least find out the name of the game. I've been looking for this game for months and I just need to know the name so I can find out if I can download it elsewhere.

However, almost all of my games don't show up in search engine results. Some of these games have both views and plays... I think the traffic is coming from outside.

Could they have been blacklisted? But they are all global games...

Has anyone else experienced this?

This is not a new account, I didn't use VPN, I didn't change my email so I'm just confused since this seems really sudden and out of the blue. I posted in two different communities so I know it's not because of the communities' rules.

I just tried again today and still no change. No I don't have pending posts since I'd rather wait until I can post normally. Can moderators point me in the direction on how to avoid this again in the future? And what to do so all my posts don't need to be approved first? Because honestly this is just inconvenient and unnecessary.

I’m writing regarding a game jam I organized titled “GIMERSIA INSPIRE : SHOWCASE 2025”.

The jam has already:

• Finished the submission period
• Finished the voting period
• Received ratings successfully (454 ratings across 16 entries)

However, on the Results tab, the page still shows the message:

“The results are not available yet, come back later”

The jam is set as Ranked, voting is Public, and the voting end date has already passed. The results visibility option has also been reviewed.

Could you please help check whether the results are still processing or if there is an issue preventing them from being published?

This will be our second jam on itch.io. Last time, even without being featured, the jam received 271 submissions, and we were truly inspired by the creativity and positive spirit of the community. Because of that strong engagement, we hope this upcoming jam can be featured so that it can reach even more developers who may resonate with what we are building.

I claimed an $80 payout from Payoneer for over two years of Itch sales. I expected to receive either about $20 of that, or nothing, depending whether I owed Payoneer's $29.95 Annual Account Fee for two years or for three. But my bank received nearly the full $80. I’m not finding anything in my Payoneer account about annual fees being taken.

Have other people been seeing that annual fee?

I had been planning to cancel my Payoneer account and stop selling on Itch because of my tiny sales volume vs. that yearly fee. But if there IS no fee I MIGHT just keep my Payoneer account “in case I have some use for it someday,” and for the small number of my users who prefer buying through Itch.

Payoneer seems pretty clear that since I make < $6000 yearly sales, the fee should not be waived. So why didn’t I get charged?

Any insights will help me decide whether to keep my Payoneer account. Thanks!

I mean, if you go to the front page, you see some games show like #hashtags between the author name and the description, but these don't always match the game tags. Where do these #tags come from?
