The dungeon challenge to squeeze through a door that requires a small character can still be passed even if you have zero agility charges left on the character.

The calculation for travel time is a bit odd. Often it will say it takes three turns to get from one location to another, but you could instead send the team back to Aliron, then back to the new location in only two turns. This is especially common going too and from the Beastkin Village, but also happens with the dwarves, the empire, and occasionally Elf village.

The recent sex scenes (all of them as far as I can tell) with Helleviel do not allow you to hide dialogue.

Several of the recent quest dungeons immediately kick you out the moment the objective is completed. This potentially denies the player a lot of resources and captured slaves. And is just generally annoying. I'll list which ones once I get to that point again in my newest playthrough.

Should you be using the shift key to look at the resources a piece of equipment is made of, then move your cursor off the equipment, then release the shift key. It will continue to display objects in the 'material' mode until such time as you hit shift again while the cursor hovers over an object with materials to display- I'd rather you not fix this bug so much as make it an intended feature. Shift to toggle would be great.


EDIT: The challenge to fly over a chasm because the bridge is broken will also allow the player to pass even without having charges to do it. I'll check all the challenges as they're encountered to see if this bug applies to everything.

EDIT2: It appears that glitch only happened in one specific dungeon. I've not been able to replicate it in any other.

Actual Bugs:

Teleporting to the empire location before you have permission to get in will cause the characters to remain trapped in what appears to be a softlock. Every time you go to the location, the game kicks you out, but fails to send the characters home.

Possibly related: when you teleport from a location back home, it often causes the characters to forget their jobs. Sometimes it will, sometimes it won't. I've yet to find a way to force this to occur.

Flame sphere can be cast multiple times while still active, wasting mana.

In the Living Thicket dungeons, when the tribal ambush encounter triggers, the 'enslave' option on victory does not seem to generate a slave.

(This is about the 13.1a version- haven't found the mission again in 13.1b) In the slave selling missions, the condition "must be wearing lacy underwear or see-through underwear" seem to be an 'and' rather than 'or', and cannot be completed. 


Typos and cleanup:

In the body upgrades section, the buyable 'breeder' perk displays the tag "BODYUPGRADEDESCRIPT_UPGRADE_BREEDER", rather than the trait description.



Quality of life suggestions:

Could you consider making it so chests that are not locked or mimics are opened automatically, rather than forcing us to click through 'open chest' and 'who should open it'? I know the game runs the check beforehand, because the engineer class will tell you it's unlocked.

Additionally, do some spells really need to be drag-selected in the dungeon screen? Intimidating presence, nature's gift, teleport, flame sphere and probably others only have one possible effect, there's no need to drag. A simple click could do the job.


And do all the modifications available in the body upgrade section really need to cost upgrade points? I understand not wanting people to be able to stack everything, but most of these are more flavor than mechanically useful.

edit:  I went through the quest again, with the same result except Erebus Stones were the boss.  The only error message apart from the usual bunch of:

This makes him almost useless in combat. It happened after the latest update 0.13.0, so it could be due to a change in the new version.  This is on Windows 10, no crash. I tried looking at the save file but all I see is buffs with a list of reference numbers so I'm not sure how I can manually remove. I can provide a save file but I don't see how to attach it to this bug report.

  • How the bug can be encountered/replicated
    • The bug occurs when attempting to select a slave for a slave request quest
      I believe it is caused by CharacterClass.valuecheck attempting to access the status of the character, however based on the error report, I believe that some character passed into the check doesn't contain a status value, so its attempting to access something which doesn't exist

      I ran some tests based on the clues, and determined the below output (see crashlog) based on this code:

      Was there a change in how character data was generated / stored between 0.11.0e and 0.12.0? Whilst this is a fresh save, I'm wondering if perhaps there is left over code from an old access method, and you had changed the access logic but missed that?

I encounterned it over all saves and no matter if i use an old or new savefile. It also happens when i start a new game. So when i save normaly it works just fine, also i can override the autosave with a manual save just fine. 

My system shoud be good enogh for handleing the game and it only happens while autosaves. Im using the 64xBit Win version of the game.

My computer is set on:

Win 11, 64x bit, Prozesser 8 core 3800Mhz, 32GB RAM, over 300GB of free space on my hard drive

Breaking Heleviel and then corrupting Lira would be fantastic. I'm torn everytime I do this quest. Because I always choose to make Lira the new priestess and take Heleviel captive. But I'm curious on how the Lira one goes. Does it happen in the same way? Or does she come along willingly? I'll never find out honestly, because breaking Heleviel and taking her down a level feels too good. So I'm hoping we get to talk to Lira more later. and recruit her. Maybe as a means to ally against the coming darkness of the demon forces and we make a marriage alliance or something.

However, it requires you downloading the multiple marriages mod for this game. By marrying any non-unique character, it effectively nullifies the subordinate status, making them into married slaves, similar to the all children are heirs sub-mod contained within. I forget the name of the mod itself, but a poster on here can likely reply with it's name. If I can find it, I'll edit and post it.

Edit: The mod is called the SFCRevamp mod, I believe

 If you choose to install the SFC Revamp mod, made by ChrisOwens68, hold the windows button, press the r button, and type %rundata% the go to appdata, roaming, striveforpower2, mods, then drag and drop it in from the file explorer you use to run the game. This is assuming you're unfamiliar with how to run the mods. It's somewhat explained in my old post 250+ days ago titled "Polygamous Marriage?" I believe. For those who already know how to install them, I need not explain.

This is about the third time I've downloaded Strive: Conquest and tried to get into it - the first two times I bounced off hard from the unintuitive new player experience even though I loved the first game. But now, after some trial and error and some patience, it finally clicked.

The game is so much fun. The combat is way deeper, the class system with all the unlocks feels rewarding and you keep discovering new stuff even after dozens of hours into the game, the factor improvements always keep you looking for new characters, and the search for that perfect girl with the perfect trait + race is incredibly engaging. This game is a step up from the first one in so many ways.

But the one thing that it needs - and I know it's still early access but I cannot stress this enough - it needs to get fixed is the User Interface / Experience.

It's clunky. It's confusing. It somehow manages to be cluttered with useless info and not displaying vital things at the same time. The transitions make you feel like you're playing with persistent lag and the tooltips are either vague or nonexistent.

I firmly believe that this could be the best management type adult game to date, but even in early access, this must be prioritized. Because these type of games, from Brothel King to Lab Rats 2 - all of these games ARE the user interface. Like, the entire game is screens and statistics and the navigation between them. To have an even slightly clunky experience can turn away 90% of potential players who would have otherwise loved everything else about it. I want to see this game succeed so much, so I threw together a little suggestion compilation for the main base screen.

Keep in mind that these are just my small, quick to make suggestions and by no means the exact way the UI should look. The idea is to display relevant information and to have easy access to all the things players want to reach with just a few clicks.

Explanation:

This isn't everything of course, but it's a start. I tried to caption all the parts I changed on the mansion screen.

- Going from the top, for a new player it can be very confusing to know just where your character are / how the location system works. Having little arrows that show movement for visual learners can be huge - with tooltips that display which characters are on the move!

- Having the "main" and "service" separated on the right part of the screen was always kind of confusing to me. It would be easier for players to have every relevant non-resource/crafting/upgrade based notification in one place, preferably with a scrollport. And color highlights are always nice on the eyes.

- I hope I'm not the only one who was getting frustrated by the experience of having to click through 3 screens just to check if my girls could be trained. For each of them, individually. A little color indicator could solve this issue under the "type" column, and if you could click these icons to instantly reach them would be even better, like quick dating. (I know in the example image the highlight is for subordinates who can't be trained, but you get the idea).

- Just a small nitpick with stats - I know you very quickly find out what the second number means, but I wasn't sure as a new player. A neat little tooltip would clear this up :)

- The fact that subordinates cost weekly gold is not apparent from anywhere in the menus. Which, for a management game, is pretty darn important. A total outgoing gold counter would be nice.

- The skill bar on the bottom takes up way too much space for how little you use them. Sure, the Mentor skill is something you can cast every day - but even that you should be able to automate since it has no mana cost. Making a little collapsible button gives a lot of extra space to work with.

- The menu buttons could hop over to the bottom, opening up way more space for the resources tab - which is the most important section in these type of games. Seriously, I was kind of baffled how little emphasis the UI puts on getting new resources. For example games like Brothel King puts a completely separate screen for your daily gains - so having just a little extra space, plus maybe green "+4 Leather, +7 Fish" floating numbers would be nice for that sweet sweet dopamine.

- Another big suggestion that cannot be shown on this graphic: please give players an option to disable screen transitions. That little fadein/fadeout effect whenever you open a window or switch a location or click a dialogue response? It feels awful for a game of this type. It feels like built-in lag. It's an artistic choice at the cost of functionality - which is completely fine! A lot of people prefer it! But it can get a bit grating after hours and hours of gameplay and having the option to disable them would be a massive boon.

- Also, it's a bit disappointing that the girl image is not displayed during sex. Maybe a little section on the side that you can toggle / switch between character full body avatars if you want? Could be neat.

So that's pretty much all I could come up with in a single go. I absolutely, passionately fucking love this game and I want as many people to experience it as possible, and having a positive interface experience for a game constructed entirely of interface elements is huge. There's so much potential here, held back by this one little technical hurdle.

I think it'd be pretty cool, maybe add a bit of a downside to doing this, but overall, should be pretty cool to have a small Goblin duel wielding 2 mithril swords with terrible physical named Gub, just charge into battle. I mean, they all have 2 hands they can use, right?

It was in a game session of over an hour when I was fighting the White Stag.  It's buddy Centipede went to attack and the game froze, with that crash message in the console.  I don't think what I was doing in the game was a trigger though, and I did restart the game, reload, and blow through that encounter with no issue.  I also didn't notice any system weirdness before that and this is the only program that crashed any time lately for me.

You can assign their icon to occupy whatever task you want to put them on, but their task status is permanently stuck on "Rest" unless you reload to a save prior to the training session. I haven't done thorough testing to determine the exact cause of the issue, but I have reloaded several times and tried with a few different characters, and found that it has something to do with the "Day Off" training option. After experimenting a little, it appears that it may be related to the work tasks bug posted by Misc Wendall. I can sometimes get them out of it, and sometimes their image is stuck on the task that I previously had them working on.

I know this might sound strange, but I'm sure there's other people out there playing this game and feeling like me.

So currently:
A character can be a SUB(subordinate) or a SL(slave).
Story character can become your SUB or SL depending on the choices you've made.

I, like many people, always set out to explore different options, but always end up with a stealth archer build...
I mean, I always end up playing as a benevolent master, I try to win the story characters over with kindness, so I choose the 'good' options. Hope its clear.

So if you do that, if you choose the 'good' path, you end up with some story characters joining you as SUBs and some joining you as willing SLs.
And this is something that I have a problem with.

First of all, I just like uniformality, it just gets on my nerves when I cannot make ALL of them SUBs or ALL of them SLs in a native way.
(I know, I could choose different dialogue option and FORCE all of them to become SLs, but that wouldn't fit with the narrative of winning them over with kindness and etc.)
Secondly, currently SLs have an advantage over SUBs, since they get bonuses to their attributes if they're trained right - so this just adds to differences I would like to negate.

So this basically leaves me with no options.
I want to play the good path.
But I also want uniformality (I don't really care if its ALL SUBs or ALL SLs, I just want one or the other to be available while still remaining on the good path).

I know it might be hard to grasp for someone not as mentally ill as I am, but I hope I explained it well enough.
I am also okay if there would just be a native workaround - like the shrine  - although currently shrine does not convert unique characters.
Maybe that could be allowed? Or better yet - maybe there could be another shrine introduced for that? A more powerful one, harder to get.
Maybe some alternative tool?

Or another way?
Like gaining freedom for SL->SUB in arena?
Or same through marriage (obviously, I would have to marry all of them at once, I hope that's allowed too)?

I think this started when I assigned a slave to produce pheromones, then assigned them to regular work after they made 5. From then on I had an ongoing task that wasn't being completed in the mansion.  And after about 5 weeks game time I have two ghost workers upgrading the mansion and hunting meat - they take up a work slot and do not gather resources, and they have a blank icon on the work screen. Also one slave that can only rest after I have them a day off of training. 

It really got bad after I enslaved a a dozen slaves from a bandit den, then handed a couple for quests, used some to increase abilities, and sold the rest. 

This has made my save unplayable.

I'm on 0.11.0e now.

Saving the game lasts much longer the more actions you take after your last save. If I click a few times through different menus it takes only a few seconds sometimes even finshing nearly instantly, but if I play through a whole day (crafting, managing, dungeon running, etc.) it takes minutes. The last time it took me more than 30 minutes until I gave up and tried to push the program to the background to check if anything else might couse this. The games engine crashed but I couln't find any reason for such a delay.

It seems like when saving, the game goes through any action taken since the last save and gives up after a certain point. This is realy painfull and makes the game nearly unplayable and this definitely didn't happen with version 0.11.0c.

I'm on windows 11 with very high end system hardware. So this shouldn't have to do anything with my setup.

Am I missing something?  The journal step says "Search for the missing slave in Aliron"


NEVER MIND! I didn't realize it was an Occupation.. that's the first time I've seen a new Occupation appear like that, it might not be a bad idea to mention to look there in the quest log.

In this particular situation it didn't matter, but was wondering if we could introduce a way to leagally change character's names in the future? Maybe it can be something done at the servant's guild for a price? 


As for the subordinate to slave part, I understand there's a god statue in dungeone you can do that at, but can we have another efficient way? Again, the servant or worker's guild could be implamented here.

and nothing is collected.  Also, when Lizard Skin is the only type of item to be collected, there is no
hammer icon in the Available Resources area.  Party members may only be assigned to gather it then by going to the mansion screen and changing their task.  If other resources are present that is not the case.

However, it also gives +30% Light Damage. The problem is that there don't seem to be any ATK-based Light attacks.. except for Holy Lance. Which you cannot use without a spear, apparently. This means that the bonus to Light damage on the Sword from the stone is kinda useless, since if you're equipped with it, you're gonna use ATK abilities, not MATK ones.

A few possible suggestions to make this feel better:

1) Add one or more other ATK-based Light attack, that the sword can actually use. Paladin-like smite abilities are always cool.

2) Allow Holy Lance to be used with non-spear weapons.

3) Make the Sword from the stone give MATK.

4) Make the Sword from the stone count as a spear, just for purposes of actually working with Holy Lance.


Also as a side-note, it would be cool if you fixed the name of the Sword from the stone to be Sword from the Stone. It makes it more dramatic, and should be capitalized correctly ^^

There is a way to force remove a slave from quest?

Also, the Steath Mastery grant is bugged.  If you look in the mastery chart, the next tier higher is highlighted correctly, but the related ability is not actually granted.  For example, this took my character from Stealth 2 to 3, and Back Kick was supposed to be available.  Back Kick was not on the ability bar or in  the list of abilities to put there.  If I then manually upgraded Stealth mastery with 1 point of my own, Tier IV lit up and Assassinate was supposed to be available.  But Back Kick showed up in the combat ability bar instead and Assassinate could not be added (was not in the list).  

This was not accompanied by any message in the console.

I checked the streets for daisy, purchased her, as one would normally do, but realised something off. No matter what I do or how many times I try to reload, when acquiring daisy, her virginity is no longer there. Is this new or a bug? Because I swear she used to have her virginity intact. So I have to ask if this was intentional or an oversight. I know it's nothing major in the grand scheme of things, but I like to keep all my girls pure so I wanted to know on the off-chance it was a bug in her coding. 



Edit: It appears her virginity being intact is randomised. She can retain it or it can be lost. I just reloaded a few times and it appeared on one of them.

error - hid3204169282 is not in it's worktask's workers


I don't actually know if the error was logged at the same time as the screen oddity, but I thought I'd mention it since I did have that outright crash yesterday, and this is the only hid error in the whole 10000 line log.  I also understand 'hid' generally to refer to 'Human Interface Device' which would be probably mouse or keyboard.  

Neither mouse or keyboard were doing anything odd at that point or have been giving me any problems in nearly two years in service.
