I love the art direction. The monsters look absolutely gorgeous and a part of me felt bad killing these beautiful creatures. The gameplay itself was pretty fun. The difficulty ramped up with level, making the game consistently engaging.
Amazing pixel art! I had fun playing your game. Sometimes I get hit by the skeleton enemy right after I enter a room, so it's difficult to react.
I really enjoyed your game! The art style (both visuals and sound) is super charming and pleasant
I did find a small bug: when clicking the arrow to interact for making cookies, the page scrolled up which was a bit annoying. I also couldn’t get the fullscreen option to work, which made it harder to read the selection menu
This is just a silly thing, but I honestly wanted to smash those jars haha
Overall it was really fun to play, and I think it’s a dungeon crawler with a very original theme and a lot of potential ahead!
Sorry, the biscuit menu isn't finished yet. At the end of the jam, we'll upload the finished game. Thank you for the comment :)
Booting up the game, the art looked great and the attacks/dashing felt nice and snappy. The enemy sprites and animations looked good and the visual feedback on hit was nice too. I also liked how they got blasted back on the final blow. The one part of combat that definitely felt unfair was the occasional insta-arrow during scene transition. The fact that you have 2hp makes this feel extra dirty.
I did manage to clear out quite a few rooms in order to head back to the altar and make my cookies, but I didn't see any indicators of how much of each crafting resource I had or whether or not I could even make the cookies. It took me a few separate visits to see the value selector UI below the cookies. I would definitely recommend that this be more prominent. I made 10 cookies and got sent back to the starting room, triggering the chorus audio. Wondering if this is the effective win screen for the jam or whether I'm missing further steps. I was hoping to get some hp buffs to take a stab at the blue ice cream dude, but I just don't think I'm able to make it happen on 2hp.
Overall solid foundation! Needs a little bit of extra attention to make everything run smoothly but the ingredients are all there.
The art is really really good! My only complain with this game is that you can't destroy the jars hahaha
I loved your pixel art. Good job!
Incredibly cool art and soundtrack, very polished in so many areas for such a short time span.
I can see this project growing further with such a talented team, great work!
the art is very good,
points to improve: archers start shooting when scene is switching and attack direction is unnatural, enemies stuck at corners, door colliders are too tight
It’s very fun and challenging, I loved it.
Exceptional artwork and idea. Main issue was skeleton dudes shooting me during screen transitions. Lots of fun and very impressive though!
A really fun game! Certainly the best game I've played so far, the mechanics felt super polished. UI didn't work the best, but other than that, for sure a great game.
The game premise was really cool with the cookies giving you different stats. The visuals were incredible especially some of the monsters. I did not fully understand how to bake due to the UI being less polished than the rest. I read the description but that didn't help much. The game has a lot of potential so I hope you guys polish it further!
Wow very nice art and the sounds fit pretty well! Char controls felt responsive too. Maybe make the enemies use navmesh so they know how to avoid obstacles. Also sometimes the slime enemies teleported over the obstacle or empty tiles. And Im sad I cant break the pots xd. Gj on the jam!
amazing game, only critique is that i couldnt smash the pots XD
Great looking pixel art and good job on designing the monsters!
The pixel art looks great, and the fighting mechanics felt really nice! It was a little confusing at times to know what to do or what the altar was for. Some short explanation texts would have helped.
The pots look like they’re meant to be smashed or interacted with. It would also be nice to have an indicator when you receive an item from a monster, or maybe just show the inventory on the HUD at all times.
Really cool monsters! first thing I tried was breaking the pots (so sad I couldn't)
This game is peak, it is just amazing.
Geez, this game feels and looks insane! I cannot believe this a jam game!
The Enemy Sprites and Art are top notch! i know it's not important, but WHY can't you shatter vases? My zelda OCD, i wanna shatter!!
