Nice presentation and a cool spin on death!
Took me a while to figure out what is going on here. Gameplay is quite nice. Need the attack animation though. And personally, I would like the attack area to be 1 little bit larger, and more foward, to hit thing easier.
I wasn't sure what to do at first but I like take on the theme. I don't know if it's a bug or a feature (maybe both) but if you dash into another barrel shortly after attacking you can destroy multiple barrels with one attack!
Fun idea! Took me a bit to figure out what to do though baha
The idea behind the game is nice, as well as the art. A bit more feedback might help, but my biggest gripe is that there can be big stretches of time where there is no threat to the king. I got my high score mostly by luck instead of good use of the skillset.
simple but fun, I agree with previous comments on adding king health indicator, attack animation, and diversifying king movement. The art is also pretty nice.
Love the graphics. Could be more clear on the King health or if you need to avoid him reaching the left screen.
Super interesting take on the theme!
Really cool
The basic idea is fun but I think it could use more feedback of what things do and what the goal of the game is
I was super excited to play the reaper. I'm not sure I actually "played well" I wasn't sure if I was using the skill correctly. I think it would have helped me a lot to have animations of some kind to let me know how I'm doing in the moment.
I love Death's design!
Fun game! Interestingly enough I did better on my very first run (by chance) when I was still figuring out the controls than in any of my subsequent attempts haha.
The pixel art here is great. The game is missing some oopmhy juice to provide feedback. I like the strategical idea behind having a very limited attack and having to pick and choose what barrels to kill.
the pixel art looked fantastic, but I had almost no feedback as to what actions were going on. some kind of indication that I was attacking, or that the king was getting damaged, or a health bar, would have helped me a lot! It was a good start, I think a little feedback would have helped a lot.
Thank you for playing. Appreciate the feedback, we will work on that.
The failure condition is just the king getting knocked off screen, but yea we should have made made visual feedback stuff.
We had to cut twice due to featurecreep so sadly only the bare minimum actually managed to make it in, in order for us to complete on time.
I really like the aesthetic, the look and feel of the game are really well done.
+1 for wanting an animation for the skill :)
Nicely done team, the sprites are great and enjoyed the gameplay. Wish the cooldown on the attack could be just a little faster, but the way it is now adds an element of strategy about which one to focus on
Thanks for playing as well as the feedback. We will keep that in mind for further improvements of the Game.
Love this entry ! Simple yet enjoyable ! Took me a while to figure out what I needed to do, but once you get the hang of it it's challenging ! Well done, thank you ! Small remark maybe, adding a visual effect for the skill would increase the gampeplay so much ! Well done !
Awsome art style and is very fun
cool, I like the artstyle considering it was done in 48hrs!
