Solid entry in aspects of overall readiness, but not enough strategy as for me - random picking approach worked better than with thinking)
Interesting. In our testing we didn't find random clicking to be effective, especially on levels 4 and 5. I appreciate your feedback, though!
Very challenging. Levels felt really well thought out!
Really fun game. Last two levels required use of all the units, which was very satisfying to complete.
This is my favorite game so far. Love the art and it's also really fun. Level 5 was too hard for me tho haha.
Thanks. We were actually gonna call our game Tower Offense too until we changed it pretty late in development.
WOW! You did a fantastic job on this. Love the artwork especially, it looks so professional!!! You are a gifted game designer and artist.
It was a team effort :) thank you very much for your kind words.
Unfortunately the game doesn't load in my browser (I'm on a Mac so that's probably why) but I just wanted to say, using Google Slides as your graphics??? That's kinda genius good on you!
I LOVE IT! I wound most definitely play this game on my phone while on the bus and stuff. xD
Managed to beat all 5 levels and I love how you eventually think of different strategies to go up against the slow ( just use a 1 first and then the fast boi), or the AOE ( splitting tanks with the 1s so only 2 get hit at a time) Good luck in the challenge my friend :)
Id be very grateful if you rated our game as well <3
Thank you so much for the kind words <3 I'm glad it was engaging in the end and that you could see yourself playing it as a full release :)
A lot of people had a similar take on the theme and did a reverse tower defense, but this one might be my favorite! I like how it's almost more of a puzzle game than just a tower defense. Crazy how you made almost all the art from Google Slides too.
Hahaha, I've been using Google Slides for my research presentations for about 8 years now so it's just a tool I'm fluent in. It has its limitations of course, but it can do some pretty cool things ;)
Good game ! it's a bit difficult but i love the way you deal with a reverse defense tower!
I like your game
This is definitely the best reverse tower defense that I have seen so far! I really love the minimalist style and everything felt great. The only complaint that I have is that the difficulty spike from level 3 to 4 is massive, but I was still able to get through the game and have an enjoyable time! Really great entry!
Thank you for the lovely comment and your feedback! Level 4 was previously solvable by spamming the fastest packets, and I had some time to kill a couple of hours before submission and decided that wasn't gonna' cut it. I ended up fixing that solution, but the result is much more complicated. I'm glad you were able to complete the game though :)
Such a cool realization of this idea! Very neat page and game desing. Music fits very well
Really awesome game. I really love the circuit board/electrical component design of the world. All around it's very polished. Good Job!
Great game! I tried to come up with ways of flipping a tower defense game as well during the idea phase but they all involved directly controlling/moving the units and I didn't think it would work out too well, however the idea of creating payload of troops that you send in is great! It gives you a lot of strategy and keeps the gameplay fresh.
I appreciate the feedback! We have played some other reverse-tds this jam that use that mechanic. It's neat because we would've never thought of that style of TD and we're happy to see diversity of interpretation despite common inspiration :)
Fantastic game, a fun take on TD
Thanks <3
Had a lot of fun with this one! Nice job!
I've seen this concept before, and even thought of recreating it myself as a project earlier this year, but settled for a normal TD ;(
your take on it was really nice and strategic, I know first hand how hard it is to balace these TD games, especially if you're playing in reverse, and you did a great job doing so! :)
Also, I really liked the artstyle and music of your game, it added alot to the game's charm ;)
Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed the game :)
Nice, even using the cheap packets as a timing buffer I still didnt manage to beat level 4.
Level 4 is pretty unforgiving, but there is a clean pattern that defeats it. This game ended up being hard to balance, it's either grueling or spammy haha
Really well done! Levels 4 and 5 had me counting the positions in order to time packets properly in between shots, super tricky!
Glad it was engaging, thanks for the feedback :)
Really nice idea for the theme and fun game well done :)
