Great game! I tried to come up with ways of flipping a tower defense game as well during the idea phase but they all involved directly controlling/moving the units and I didn't think it would work out too well, however the idea of creating payload of troops that you send in is great! It gives you a lot of strategy and keeps the gameplay fresh.
I appreciate the feedback! We have played some other reverse-tds this jam that use that mechanic. It's neat because we would've never thought of that style of TD and we're happy to see diversity of interpretation despite common inspiration :)
Fantastic game, a fun take on TD
Thanks <3
Had a lot of fun with this one! Nice job!
I've seen this concept before, and even thought of recreating it myself as a project earlier this year, but settled for a normal TD ;(
your take on it was really nice and strategic, I know first hand how hard it is to balace these TD games, especially if you're playing in reverse, and you did a great job doing so! :)
Also, I really liked the artstyle and music of your game, it added alot to the game's charm ;)
Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoyed the game :)
Nice, even using the cheap packets as a timing buffer I still didnt manage to beat level 4.
Level 4 is pretty unforgiving, but there is a clean pattern that defeats it. This game ended up being hard to balance, it's either grueling or spammy haha
Really well done! Levels 4 and 5 had me counting the positions in order to time packets properly in between shots, super tricky!
Glad it was engaging, thanks for the feedback :)
Really nice idea for the theme and fun game well done :)
