How does your game fit the theme?
In the game, you traverse the level, collect a "Rule Card" and select a rule. You must then make it through the same level again, but with the new rule.

I thought I was playing on ice already until I found the "Slippery Surface" card. :-) Fun little game, and amazing to see you made that in Scratch!
Thanks for the feedback! If you have any other critiques then could you let me know? I'm hoping to continue the game after the jam.
Looking forward to an update then. :-)
The only other thing was that I kept getting stuck on corners when jumping, but that is due to the shape of the character. Not sure if you want to be changing that.
I'll have a look, thanks for letting me know!
Love the gameplay it is very fun. Sadly i think i soft locked myself with slippery Surface cuz i got stuck close to the end and could not get past the same spot after like 6 tries i gave up. Sometimes the cube physics and controls get weird but i think that gives it a certain charm.
Thanks for the feedback! If you could let me know where you got softlocked (e.g. near the start, just after the first jump, that's a very common softlock spot but I thought I fixed it :\) I'll try to fix the softlocking issue for after the jam. Thanks for letting us know!
It was pretty much the last part of the level, where you had to jump on the one flying cube. I was unable to land on it, either overshot the jump or just slide dow.
Ah, the trick there is to hit the side of the cube while mid-air, and then hold left while still going upward, you'll then land right on the corner (this works even better with the Air Resistance rule)
The mechanics were so fun — I couldn’t stop playing! I ended up finishing all the levels and now I’m really looking forward to seeing more "rules"!
And here is our game. Welcome to give it a try!

Thanks for playing! I'll be sure to give your game a try!
Yeah so umm the sounds for the bounce gets very not fun and i just quited when i unlocked the timer its a nice long game maybe too long just not my style of platforming so yeah and the art even tho simple could have been better made and some jazz would have fitted the game perfectly so i must say it is well made i didnt notice major bugs just the one where i land wrong it keeps bouncing and then my ears fall off but i enjoyed the game very much im taking my run as a win cause there is no way to beat that level in that time and so i want prof if it is actually possible and if it is ill try again until i beat it but congrats! also i believe ive played for an hour XD
Thanks for the feedback! I'll try to fix those bugs. How long should the timer be? I think some nice jazz would fit perfectly, so I'll try my best to compose something! I'll be sure to vary the bounce sound effects
If you have any more feedback then that would be great!
p.s. your dedication to beating the game is unreal (and just for reference, after the timer the game ends)
IVE DID IT!!!! BUT THE WIN SCREEN DIDNT STAY SO I COULDN'T GET A SCREANSHOT :( Honestly i cant think of anything else its just a solid small rage game but if you are going to add more levels dont use the same gemics and also tell us on what level it is on so that we know how close the end is.
That's great! Sorry that you couldn't get a screenshot, I kinda rushed the win screen.
Very creative and good mechanics. Looping through the same level with debuff each time is a good idea fitting the theme while interesting and enjoying.
Thanks! Would you happen to have any critiques? I could really use some feedback
I think the game idea of looping the same level with debuff is good, but I think it would be better if the debuff is not making the control unpleasant as it will make player frustrating. So I think the light, the wind are good but the one affecting the control are not that good. I prefer setting limits that won't make the control bad but add difficulty to the levels. I think this project can help make good player and camera control: https://gmtk.itch.io/platformer-toolkit.
Thanks for letting me know! I'll be sure to sort that out in the future. Thanks for linking the platformer toolkit, very helpful!
