went it in basically blind and got suprised by the objective of the game, totally feel our guy, very unique idea and well executed! NICE GAME!
I LOVE THE SONG OF THIS GAME ITS SO CATCHY. I think that it really captures the eternal hell of getting that build up (which is especially looping when the gamejam gets extended lol). I really like the idea of fixing the build, its so relatable and it requires so much compiling and running that it does actually fit the theme perfectly!
I think you catched the vibe totally! Thanks for playing and glad you enjoyed!
A very cool idea! I really like your take on the theme!
Well done :D
Glad you like the idea! Thanks for playing!
So fun to play! Took a few minutes to understand what to do but still really clever and relatable!
We are glad that you had fun! Thanks for playing!
This is such a fun idea that even makes me want to have more bugs to fix ahah. It's really fun to have to test it to understand the bugs to fix them, besides the loop is short enough to not be frustrating
Thank you for your kind reply! We also wanted to have more bugs to fix (That's a sentence I never thought I'd write hahaha)
Good job finishing your game!
It's very interesting in concept. I had some trouble understanding it (like what cuttlefish and flag do) but I enjoyed it. I think I won after uploading but I am not sure if I fixed everything or not.
Overall nice experience
We actually left some sprites without using them properly but the general idea is to fix what seems off. There is one particular cuttlefish that is inside another texture so you should move this one. But the concept was for them to be enemies. Also if you saw the scene where the two devs talk about a succesful upload, it means you finished it. But we could have an extra screen showing (5/5 bugs fixed) so you know for sure. Thank you for the feedback. Hope you had a great jam!
super interesting concept here! And very relatable too hahaha
I think a minute time limit could work, but you might need there to be less to do in that minute. I was quite lost on what to actually do or test, that I just got confused.
I got to a flag at one point, but nothing happened, and when i tried to upload the game it said that I didn't try to upload it at all.
Great setup and visualisation of the game engine tool, it definitely helped frame the idea well :)
First of all, thank you for taking the time to both play and give feedback on our game. Think about it, I didn't even get to the flag, testing it. We are very happy that this story is relatable to other people than us! I think anyone who has done a team project at some point in their life knows very well what we are talking about.
We should have been more clear in the game instructions as the player's goal is to fix the bugs within the limited time and not to reach a certain checkpoint. So when all the checkboxes are checked correctly within time, the game provides a good ending where the game is succesfully uploaded. Now the truth is that we simply didn't have time to put in enough of the features we wanted (like the flag marking the finish, for example) so we just placed the sprites in the space since we had already created them.
Thanks again, we hope it was a good jam for you too and let's continue playing interesting games!
The frame by frame animation of the penguin is amazing!
Thank you for your comment! Lovelace (penguin) is happy to hear that 🐧
