Very good gameplay and visuals, everything is great! The game is polished, gives you a tutorial, there are some decorations in the level, everything is just so good!  My only complain is maybe you need to make a finish zone bigger because it was too hard for me.

I'm glad you liked the game! Some players found it difficult to figure out the goal of the game and the controls, so I am glad you've been able to do so. Thank you for playing!

Did not work on my machine too 😭

Congratulation on your submission!

Sorry to hear. What are your PC specs ? Will try to investigate after the jam. Also, do you have HW acceleration turne on in your browser ?

Nice work, pretty solid idea and game :). I beat all 10 levels and my feedback is similar to Zivan's: the controls are a bit clunky with having to switch between the two modes and managing the bombs. The perspective camera was also confusing at first as I thought I could place the bombs in the forward axis too.

My biggest complaint (ignore if you want!!): design wise I think there's too much trial and error. There are some levels where I could stack 2 or more bombs to get the perfect trajectory, so it felt like I was only making tiny adjustments until it worked. And for the normal levels, it felt like following the same steps: place a bomb, see where the box lands, then place the next bomb and repeat. I think because of this loop it doesn't feel very "skill-based" and not as rewarding as it could be... but that's just my 2 cents

Hey, thanks for playing our game! I think the vibes we were going for were more like have fun, try out different bomb placements and blow stuff up. We didn't want it to feel too challenging or "skill based". Thank you for your perspective though, the feedback is of course welcome.

As for the controls, yeah those are bit too much I think, as I have said in my other comment. Wish I had more time to rethink and play with those more.

Thanks for playing!

Sadly wasn't able to get this to run on my machine, it slowed down my browser and refused to start! Congrats on your submission though the screenshots look cool!

Sorry to hear. Wonder what it could be. Thanks for trying anyways!

Epic game. Really great job! I played all 10 levels and had fun. It’s crazy this is your first game jam. I haven’t played that many games yet, but if yours won, I wouldn’t be surprised! You can ignore everything after this if you want.

You asked for feedback on the itch page, so I will try and give some because I know it can be really valuable. The only thing that I would try to do is simplify the controls. I got confused sometimes and reset a bomb instead of toggling explode, which was frustrating. Here’s how I would approach it based on my experience with the game: First, I’d just have a dedicated explode button because switching to explode mode is just one extra click before I get to see the result. Every bomb could have their own, but ideally it would be only one explode button for all (not at once ofc). Specifically, I’m not sure if it’s necessary to be able to control every bomb individually. It would be much simpler to click and spawn each bomb. So click one time, first bomb spawned, click second time, second bomb spawned, etc. Explosion would work the same, click, first bomb explodes, click second. And then have an undo button so you can reposition them if needed. Why would I do it this way? Here’s how I played the game: I’d set up the first bomb and see where the box would land. Then I’d place the second bomb around the landing spot and see how that would propel the box, and so on. What I would NOT do: place all four bombs in the beginning. So really, that fine-grained control was unnecessary for me. I think this would make it easier to learn and get in the grove. Again, this is all based on how I played the game, so your style or goal for the game might have been different. Either way, the game is top notch for me! Great job and sorry for the long text!

Hey dude, really appreciate the thorough feedback. Don't apologize, this is excatly the kind of feedback we would hope to get. And you're absolutely right. I played the game exactly how you described it, and at one point, I was asking my teammate if he gets the controls, because I was wondering if it's not too complicated. Unfortunatelly, there was no time left for me to rethink the controls, and I'm afraid I can't update the game after submitting it, so it is what it is for now.

There are many great and polished games submitted, as you'll see, but we're flattered and humbled to hear that you think our game could be the winner :)

Thanks again for amazing feedback, I will play and rate your game tomorrow in return.

I’m happy my feedback helps! Of course, it’s not something that needed to be in the game for the jam, as I said, still top score in my opinion. I just started to code, and there were many (many) things I had to throw out, too. Also ended up with an ultra-hard game accidentally. Good ol’ game jams.

The concept and implementation are really solid! It’s a bit tricky to understand and play at first, but I really enjoyed the game!

Fun physics game!   Took a few tries to figure out the range on the explosives (and a few boxes launched into the abyss lol).  Great fun!

It took me some time to understand what to do but if you over that point it's really good! :)

Thank you for playing. Yeah, i guess when you play the game so much as its author, you don't notice that the objective might not be so clear for others :)
