The main idea behind this server (and game jam) is to help connect fellow anime game devs with people who love anime games! (or maybe even just game devs and anime fans in general!) Theres a ton of people who love anime games, and they just struggle to find them!!!!!
An anime themed game must have an anime-themed art style. There's no real ways around that unfortunately. However, there are many different ways to represent this!
There are a lot of free assets you can use, and there will be opportunities to partner up in the discord server!

This is a chill game jam! The ultimate goal is to submit a game that is anime-themed!

Since this is the first game jam of the anime game dev server, there will be no theme, but we will provide optional "ideas" to get you started ^^

🌐SUBMISSION🌐
- MUST run in the browser (HTML)
- MUST be free to play. NO Payments.
There's a ton of benefits to learning how to make your game run in the browser! I think it's something all devs should learn how to do. You can however make an optional downloadable version.
There will be 1 month to submit (1st january to 3rd February - there will be 3 extra days to submit late or edit your entries as well.)

🌐RULES🌐
- Please do not start on your game until the jam begins!
- However, you may reuse assets, code, or ideas from previous games you've made :)
- You can use as many free assets as you'd like!
- No R18 content
- This is a age 13+ rated game jam.
- Your submission must run in the web browser (HTML).
- AI art or other content is NOT allowed under any circumstances.
- These entries will be deleted and you will be banned from participating in future jams.
- You can work in a team of up to 5 people. However if you'd like to add more people, please discuss with Mythi in the discord server.
- You are welcome to join the game jam even if you've never worked on a game before! We are here to help out :)
- If you break any of these rules, you will be warned, and then banned from any future game jams.
- Cross submissions with other jams is totally fine! Just make sure you follow the rules for the jams you are joining, as if you do not follow the rules for our jam we will have to disqualify you :(
