Coming March 2026

The Bad Ideas Game Jam is an upcoming game jam organized by the YouTuber Jonny Razer. The jam is set to run over the course of a month with the goal of bringing people's bad game ideas to life. Individuals and teams will be given a specific theme and tasked with creating a game that fits the theme, along with a short-form video pitch.

Games will be rated on five key criteria:

  1. Enjoyment – How fun and engaging the game is to play.

  2. Creativity – How original and unique the concept is.

  3. Artwork – The visual style and overall aesthetic of the game.

  4. Audio – The quality and implementation of audio in the game.

  5. Video Pitch – The effectiveness and appeal of the game's video pitch.

These games and videos are then compiled into a standalone game that brings all submissions together for everyone to view and play on Steam, provided the individual or team has consented to releasing a public GitHub repository of their game.

Stay tuned for more details in 2026!
