Very ambitious entry!

I couldn't find any menu options, escape quit the game for me.

I recommend a screen that allows sound and input controls.

The connection and card portion worked fine, but I couldn't figure out how to shoot the laser in the second phase.

Also the platforms seemed to desync (screenshot attached).

Art and sound were great, game felt responsive (on local network), promising entry with lots of potential!

Hi there! Thanks for your kind words, this was definitely out of our comfort zone but we learned a lot making it (using Godot for the first time + networking for multiplayer).

We haven't had time to implement a settings menu yet, but will! The platform desync was a bug we realised just after submitting the jam version, and can fix easily in an update.

As for the laser, to fire it you just have to hold down the left mouse button. It charges and then fires after a few seconds - the crosshair changes colour and there's a sound to accompany the charging. We will have a think about how to tutorialise this, and would love to hear your thoughts if you decide to have another go, playing a match all the way through.

Thanks again, let us know if you want to arrange a 1v1 against one of us!

I couldn't connect with anyone to play, but I like the vision you had with this!

Hi there! Yep unfortunately we didn't manage to set up a public server in time, so for now we only have private games.

If you have two PCs on the same network, you don't have to do any port forwarding, simply leave the address box blank and it will default to localhost. If one player hosts the other should be able to join!

Otherwise, port forwarding is fairly straightforward to set up with a bit of Googling. Port 9603 needs to be opened by the host. Player 2 must then enter your public IP, which can be found online.

If you want to challenge me, shoot me an email at enquiries.biotech@gmail.com - I'm happy to host!

Yeah I imagine setting up a public server would be a huge ask for a game jam. It's really cool that you got networking all set up though, what a huge feat for a jam :D

I want to play but having a multiplayer, while an impressive feat, is also a bit of a stab in the foot if you have no one to play with :(

We'll play with you! Email enquiries.biotech@gmail.com and we'll work out a time.

Kudos for making a multiplayer 1v1 game. Great job!

Thank you! It's our first game like this and we want to polish it after the jam's over!
