Ahoy,

This is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to persons living or dead is purely coincidental.

TLDR: Yes.

Yours faithfully,

Alex

Thanks so much for playing! Yeah, it can get tricky near the end when you're under pressure, glad you enjoyed!

Hi there! Thanks for your kind words, this was definitely out of our comfort zone but we learned a lot making it (using Godot for the first time + networking for multiplayer).

We haven't had time to implement a settings menu yet, but will! The platform desync was a bug we realised just after submitting the jam version, and can fix easily in an update.

As for the laser, to fire it you just have to hold down the left mouse button. It charges and then fires after a few seconds - the crosshair changes colour and there's a sound to accompany the charging. We will have a think about how to tutorialise this, and would love to hear your thoughts if you decide to have another go, playing a match all the way through.

Thanks again, let us know if you want to arrange a 1v1 against one of us!

Really lovely art, nice simple concept. I'd be interested to see how else you can dissuade the player from making noise, as I spent most of my runs on full noise avoiding the three bullets.

A nice concept but I think maybe too tricky! Perhaps if the DVD logo was smaller and there were fewer instant death pickups? I'd also like to be able to skip the opening text. It looks really good!

This was lovely! The characters really added motivation to get better at the platforming, congratulations for completing this during the jam!

I did play all the way to round 50, but I wish the coin magnet was cheaper and there was some kind of end goal or way to automate the round starting so it can be an 'idle' game.

The movement is interesting - and I enjoyed the prompt of press R to increase the fun! I had some bugs where visuals would be blurry or not register when I was touching an enemy.

I completed all the levels! Really fun game with nice consistent visuals. Would be interested to see how this concept could be built on.

The cutscene art is really impressive, would love to see it match the Bingo. Also, as others have said, it's difficult to know when you're doing well sometimes. Could the Bingo be simplified?

Interesting concept, I felt like this would be a good game for kids / education. Would like for the speed-up button to be a toggle - sometimes I felt like I'd solved the level but still had to wait for the ants to catch up.

Like others have said, I'd like a little more control over the car + camera, but it's a really interesting concept! Paying for petrol while risking going further away from the machine - is there a way to incentivise the player to not just stay near the middle?

Like others have said, it's so impressive that you made the game engine and got it working on web! If you come back to it, I'd be interested in what aspects you could change to make it less similar to Hotline Miami - what experience do you want the player to have etc?

Memorable visuals and interesting challenge! I'd definitely like to see where this concept goes!

Hi there! This was our first time making a multiplayer game, so it's great to see someone got web networking running ( we use port forwarding as we ran out of time!) The art style is fun + feels consistent. I really enjoyed being able to run around in the menu while waiting for players. Could see it being built on to make a party game with lots of minigames!

Fantastic work for your first game jam! I think I agree with others about the carrying of objects - perhaps if the islands you visit are smaller / all the tools you need are automatically in the boat (at the current level you have bought them at)?

The bubble based attacks are an interesting concept, it made me think of MMORPG AoE. I'd quite like to be playing it online with others!

Fun concept and game loop! I'd be interested in a version of the game where you were rewarded for ricochet kills or could shoot in a way which guaranteed that it followed the path of the laser.

Thank you! It's our first game like this and we want to polish it after the jam's over!

We'll play with you! Email enquiries.biotech@gmail.com and we'll work out a time.

Good-Morrow,

This positive feedback has been noted. There will be a healthy bonus heading your way at the end of the quarter.

Keep it up and you'll be in the running for a corner office! There's only four of those per floor!

Burn after reading,

Alex

Hi there!

We've not heard of that happening before! Please could you let us know :
- Was this on the Web version or downloaded?
- Are you able to recreate the issue? Alt-F4 should close the game if downloaded.

Thanks!

Hi there!

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. Could you confirm if you're having the same issue as 'usercool' (not using capital letters) or if you are having a seperate problem? If the former, we recommend the SHIFT button. If the latter, please provide further details.

Thanks!

Hi there!

We have replied to your query through the address : enquiries.biotech@gmail.com. We appreciate you emailing our account and page the same question - this allows us to send twice as many emails back! More emails = More work.

Hi there!

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. The game is case sensitive, but let us know if that isn't the issue and we'll try and recreate it.

Thanks!

Hi there!

Could you provide more information about what kind of keyboard you are using?

Thanks!

Hi there!

You can enter the passwords at the login screen that opens before the game.

Thanks!

Thanks for playing!

You're over half way through - use the doors to block out any interlopers. You can use the codes you know to get back to where you were quickly. Hope we get a part two!

Thanks for playing!
Glad to hear you enjoyed, and that it worked as a genre shift. Always good to keep a notepad near the computer just in case.
Thanks again!

Thank you!

Thanks!
