How does the game fit the theme?
In this game, you must fight against the odds to become the ultimate biscuit dunker! You have to try and predict how long you can hold the biscuit in your drink before it will crumble and become gross sediment at the bottom. If you don't risk your biscuit, you won't be the best biscuit dunker!

What code and assets did you not make from scratch during the jam (if any)?
All code and assets except for the country flags and font were made from scratch

An adorable game that makes me feel EXTREMELY STRESSED OUT! Great use of audio cues to make the player feel extra paranoid and self-conscious about how long they're keeping their biscuits dunked.

It's really cool! The art style and the game itself are too well done. The main mechanic is simple but super fun. The loading screen with the kittens is adorable.

Fun, but hard The artstyle is awesome and I especially love the music when you are about to break the cookie

This is SUCH a cool little game! I like the zoom in and weird thought bubbles when the timer gets long enough.. Yeah, I think this is my favorite game out of the jam that I've played so far!

Absolutely knocked it out of the park with this entry. Amazing job!

One of my favourite games I've played from this jam so far! Very well executed, simple but super polished. I love the languages :) I kept wanting to try it on each different language to see all the funny comments, very well-done. The gameplay itself is super simple but very satisfying, all the visual and sound effects really sell it well.

Thanks so much! Glad people are trying out the languages and super glad you found the game-play fun!

I love this so much! I love the sense of urgency when I'm dunking and the lil' shark cookie and the paw when I play as Mango. It's such playful game design and I adore it! <3

Developer(+1)

Tysm. Mango is based off our actual cat, so I'm glad he's getting some use lol

Man, this is what gaming is really about! I felt like a grand champion at the last level! Loved the art, the style and the sound design! Perfect entry!

Developer

Really enjoyed your entry as well, very very polished feeling!

Really great idea. The gameplay is really fun but unfortunately I didn't have what it takes to become the biscuit dunk champion, really well done overall :)

Developer(+1)

Thanks for giving it a shot, and tysm for the kind review! The balancing was done really last minute so I'm kicking myself right now for not thinking to add an easy mode toggle in the options menu right now, but nothing to do about it at this point!

Finally a game I can use my irl cookie dunking skills. Love this concept and art style! Had a fun time playing it!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it!

What a great idea, it works so well, you can really feel the pressure!

Developer

Thanks! The goal was really to give a sense of urgency and pressure to make you want to lift your biscuit too early so I'm glad it came through!

Perfectly on theme, you can really tell there’s a lot of effort in the details

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Since the game-play itself is so simple, we really wanted to make it feel ridiculously over the top for what it is!

Really solid and nicely polished, with some great details.

My favourite bit was being able to switch it to British English, that gave me a laugh.

Would be handy to have a next-level option instead of jumping back to the menu, and maybe a bit more feedback on the cookie’s state, took me a while to catch the timing.

Everything else was spot on.

Developer

Glad someone mentioned the localization system! I spent a tiny bit too long working on that, but I found playing around with joke localization languages really funny! My favorite personally is pirate speak!

An end of level screen would have been very nice, but if I had to work on one more UI element I would have combust on the spot, so I decided to let it be!

I knew the cookie feedback was going to be a bit of a contentious point, but I really wanted the game to be mostly random guessing, with enough visual feedback to make a broad prediction of how long you have. In a way, it's a game about gambling!

Thanks for the great review!

Maybe I just suck at the game, but it would be nice for a little more feedback on the state of the biscuit -- it feels very random vs. skill based.  Love the visuals -- has a very Warioware feel to it!

Developer

The game is actually supposed to be essentially gambling. You can only make a loose guess based on how cracked the biscuit is, and everything else is up to luck!

HOWEVER, I do agree that there needed to be some difficulty options to lower the required points, I wish I thought to implement them but everything was so rushed. Some people were breezing through, and some were really getting stuck.

Regardless, thanks for checking it out and the great review!
