I love the artstyle. I couldn’t get past the battle, my reflexes were too slow and clunky to match one of the shapes even after dozens of attempts @_@. Nice work.
I like the movement a lot! I would agree that the speed for the flute feels pretty fast. Maybe start slow and get faster as the player gets used to the mechanic? Either way great job!
it thought the flute was very hard to control and moved too fast, and the swimming felt a bit janky, but the concept is really cool and I like where it's going:)
Great entry! My only critiques are that the swimming feels a bit shaky, and I couldn't figure out how to attack.
Your idea for combat was very interesting and something that I have not seen tried before. I think something that you could do to possibly improve the combat is increase the tolerance on how much of the line you have to cross in order for it to count as a pass. Also, centering the camera on the player when in the over world could have the potential to let the player see the fish and have more time to react to them before they accidentally run into them. Overall, great concept for a game and keep up the hard work!
I love the art, the flute gameplay is a bit tricky but I love the concept! Great job!
The flute playing was a cool interpretation of the theme, but was quite challenging (one of them might have been bugged as it keep ending before getting to the end). I think having an option to allow the player to control when to start playing, and slowing down the speed the song plays could help with the difficulty. Overall great sound design and I liked the art style!
Thanks, the wave ending before it finishes is kind of intentional though (It also makes the game slightly harder, otherwise it could have been a little too easy)
I think the flute playing mechanics for the boss fight were very cool as a attack method and think more of that should have been done. The movement was a little imprecise for dodging the mermaid lady's attack. Cool fight regardless, and good submission!
