The presentation is really well done! All the animations and cutscenes where great and entertaining. Def felt like an episode of Dexter's Laboratory.
Very cool game, loved all the different ways you could slow down the hero, it all felt very creative and silly
Simple, funny, and well polished. Also the art and animation is so good!
This game is so fun. It has beautiful animations, art, and music. Overall, I loved it.
Fun and well made game. I like the cutscenes too
The polish on this game is impressive! Probably due to the wonderful art, animations, and music (the ending theme reminds me of Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga, of all things). And I think the overall concept was a great choice for "roles reversed".
My only nitpick is that there's no way to win or keep score. I know that's kind of the whole point, but even something simple like a counter that shows how many times you've been pummeled by the hero would deepen the gameplay a lot, letting players try to beat their own personal record. As it stands, you can sit there without pressing any buttons and still get the same ending (unless there's some secret ending I never saw for getting a flawless run).
Overall, great job, I really enjoyed playing!
Thank you for your feedback!
Superstar saga was definetly an inspiration so you have a very good ear! haha
And the top score was in consideration for the jam build as well as multiple endings!
Sadly we didn't make it on time, but we will probably add those things in a future update :)
Valuable feedback indeed, thank you!!
Nice game!!!!!!
I could not hear anything. There was sounds and my volume was all the way up but couldn't make anything out It was not clear to do all the way but it was still fun to run from the hero.
I’m not sure I understand. You weren’t able to hear any music at all, but could hear SFX and such? Could you start and finish the game properly? Thanks for playing in any case :)
the hero is invincible, even when flattened, haha! The story is incredibly hilarious, and I thoroughly enjoyed the game even though I knew I would always lose haha Nice game!
The art and cutscenes were really cool, and you nailed the whole cartoon villain vibe. the game play was solid, the side scrolling was a bit too slow with would just have me waiting while the scrolling caught up.
Thanks for the feedback!
I like the art and the cutscenes at the beginning cool game
The hero is a godless monster.
10/10
Really liked the cutscenes, they felt very cartoon network-esc.
Great game :) Sad the villain didn't get to use his robot, damn carnivorous Hercules
Thank you!
To say that it really felt "Cartoon network-esc" is the best compliment we can think of receiving :)
Reminds me of Dexter, such a cool style! the cutscene explains the context of the game in a funny way. I love it.
We actually intended to make a more direct reference to Dexter! Sadly, it had to removed (at least for this version).
This was so much fun! The stupid hero made me so aggravated with his grin, I was in the mad scientist role immediately. Great music, art/cutscenes too!
Super cool! Love the cartoonish animations only bad thing is that the stupid hero always wins
Very fun. all the expressions and effects really bring it together into a well made game.
Love the cartoon style. Really cool game.
love the style!
Thank you! :)
Really fun idea! I love that from desperation the villain just starts throwing random stuff at the hero. At least that's what I was doing :P Also, amazing visuals!
Thank you :)
That was exactly the feeling we wanted to achieve with the game, so your comment made us really happy!!!
