How does your game fit the theme?
The theme 'Build for Scale' was incorporated into our game as 'Building our resistance on the Scoville scale.' The Scoville scale measures the perceived heat of chili peppers, and that's where the idea for our game came from. We wanted a different kind of scale than what might be imagined at first glance.

I Love your use of the theme!!!! So creative. This game is a delight. Very fun. :)
Thank you so much, that's very kind. Thank you ^^
Scoville scale is a take I haven't seen yet - very creative! I liked the style and art - the 2D sprites (little peppers?) were so cute as they were panicking. Was a little confused about where to go or what my objective was, but I enjoyed the spicy abilities! Fun time :D
That's very kind, thank you so much ^^ It's true that we didn't have time to include a tutorial or even explain the story, but I'm glad you still had fun despite that c:
I really appreciate the effort that's clearly been put into making this game. Art music and overall gameplay is very well made. Congrats.
Thank you so much! We really wanted to aim big, and we gave it our all ^^
I love the character designs and art direction! Was Cult of the Lamb a source of inspiration, by chance?
Hehe, well spotted ;)
Really liked the art direction!
Thank you very much!
Nice art and audio, based on a cool concept on the theme!
Thank you so much! We really put a lot of thought into making an original idea.
Art design and music were spectacular! They worked together so cohesively. I like your unique interpretation of the theme!
That's very kind, thank you so much!
Both the visuals and the sound design are really good! I had a hard time targeting at first but I got used to it rather quickly. All in all a really cute game ^^
Thank you so much, that’s very kind!
So cute, I really like the characters and this camera angle.
Thank you so much, that's very kind of you ^^
Loooove the look of this game. I've always wanted to play more Latin-looking games. Miss my Guacamelee!-type vibes. Reminds me of Cult of Lamb in a good way.
If I could give some feedback about the visuals, think the walk cycle looks a bit funky. Doesn't impede my ability to play but looks a bit odd when moving around with the lil' guy's arms flailing around. Also would love a bit more embellishment on the attack. Was hard to tell what distance I needed to be to safely attack enemies. Additionally, the enemies! They looked so cool but I couldn't tell if they were ever attacking me. The only enemy I felt in danger by was the boss with those big green lime balls.
Either way, super cool stuff!
That's very kind and insightful advice, thank you so much ^^
These were my first animations—I'm usually more of a developer than an artist, so it was my first time ^^ But I’ll definitely keep that in mind, and thank you so much, it’s very encouraging!
Thanks a lot for the feedbacks ! It was the first time on traditional 2D for the artist, and she learned more and more through the jam. We imagined a whole world for the game with various cultures (chinese, tropical island and even USA) but the mexican style was our go for the jam and the more fun to try ! And yeah "HEAVILY" inspired by Cult of the Lamb, we love this kind of vibe.
Great idea for the theme, definitely unique from what ive seen so far.
Great art and music.
Gameplay felt a little flat to me. I wasnt able to figure out what to do once i beat the twins.
Thank you so much for the feedback ^^
Unfortunately, we didn't have time to include an ending after defeating the bosses ^^"
Well congratulation ! You've beaten the game xD (yeah missing feedback on that). Thanks for playing ^^ !
Really cool design and graphics, but controls mapping is really strange (or maybe just not explained)
LOVE the style. Definitely stealing it for a later project (if I can draw this well...)
That's adorable, thank you so much x)
If it helps, I was inspired by the works of @clement_deruyter for all the drawings and line art ^^
Really fun game ! Loved the aesthetics and the take on the theme!
Thank you so much, that's very kind of you ^^
Loved this game, especially the art. The cursor didn't display on the title screen for me (had to alt+tab then click back in the window) and also managed to permanently get the screen to shake though. Besides the bugs, it was a great game and would love to see it expanded further.
Thank you so much!
Sorry about the little bugs, hehe—that's the downside of game jams XD
Fun gameplay, very very nice art.
Thank you a lot :3
For being developed over only 4 days, this is great. The art and overall style is a lot of fun.
Incredible work on the art! Saw that you had great karma so I stopped by to give yours a play and I was so pleasantly surprised!
Aww thank you !
This was really fun and great!
Looks really good from the pictures, but on both version it stops on the screen with the godot logo with the music playing and sounds playing when I press buttons.
Hello ! Strange and when you press nothing can you make it through the main menu ? If so just press enter it should start the game.
no, it just gets stuck on this screen
Well, that's a very strange bug. Cannot reproduce it for us. It crashes after this screen or it just stays on it forever. When you press escape do you have a pause menu ? Maybe you could try to access to the main menu from it . But furthermore I can't do anything else, so sorry that you can't test it !
It stays on the screen, and it just unfocuses the game when I press esc, with no menu appearing. Hopefully it’s just an issue on my pc and other people can play it.
