Very cute and creative! Was pretty confusing to understand the mechanics until some trial and error, and after that I had a bit of a nasty bug where the waiters would run around the loop and wouldn't be sent home or do anything else, but once I got the hang of things, it was pretty fun to manage the hectic environment and make the restaurant work like a well oiled machine.

Cute entry! Gotta be honest, I didn't really understand all the systems and opted to just have a loop where all the waiters wandered around all the time. Good enough to get me to the big boss, where I failed miserably, haha. Some may say the puns were a but cheesy but I think you did a gouda job.

I like the concept but I was a bit lost on how certain things happened even with tutorials on. Planning out your server loop is a fun idea though!

I got really hooked! At first it was a real struggle. I was in a catch 22 where the servers had new orders and the cooks had food ready. Took me a while to understand what was going on but after that things started sailing. I like how you spiced things up with the mafia theme.

Loved the theme and vibe of this game! This is a really great idea, though a bit confusing to figure out even with the tutorial. I needed to restart after the first time, I bought a bunch of cooks and dishwashers without realizing I needed to place them after each purchase. I ended up with no money and no staff! After giving it a retry though I was able to figure it all out. I did end up somehow locking myself out of being able to place any path at all, because it would always end up going through at least one table I think. That was the end of the run for me, but I had fun up until that point!

Almost, almost! :D I had $250 but some server or a cook took them from me at the last second :D

That's a cool game!
I really like that node path system for servers. I guess I need to optimize a path mid-day so I can feed guys at the end of the loop, though I didn't try it. Probably, will try it later. It was like the classic situation in restaurants where you see other people who came earlier being served food before you 😅
I like the art style. Would love to see a post-jam build!

Really creative concept, having to micro-manage the servers to optimize my cashflow was a neat touch. I think like there’s a lot of potential in this idea of setting up your restaurant and then micro-managing your servers and I feel like having the game split in to two distinct phases would help the pacing a lot.

Developer

Aw ty! Yes I firmly agree with the two phases. My teammate were just discussing that earlier for a post jam build.

The art style was quite nice, and the feedback SFX were pleasant.

hey to spawn servers its up arrow, to call em back home its down arrow. Hope that helps. There are awhole host of helpful tips in the description as well.

Even better than the restaurant sim mechanic (which is well executed!) is the world building here. Love the characters. I think what I'd add is the godfather theme (obviously) and some restaurant noise to boost the atmosphere. Other than that *gestures in italian* - thanks for sharing! :D

Developer

We talked about making use of an acapella version of the godfather theme but with rodent based adlibs. Sadly I was worried that might get us in trouble since we don't own the melody.

That would have been too much. Someone could correct me, but I think if you just do a cover, its just a cover. As long as you didn't sell it!

Love the art style and gameplay. The loop mechanism feels a bit underused, since you don't need to change the loop after placing it. Still, a great game. Well done!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback, it is very much appreciated. We are both really happy that you loved the art style.

Nice concept! Kinda tower defense-y, but like you control both sides? Well executed too. Haven’t got a grip yet on how to do well, but will try some more. Good job!

I am glad you like the concept. I have updated the description to include hints if you want them.

Really digging the mafia vibe and management gameplay! The looped routes mechanic feels fresh and adds a nice strategic layer. Looking forward to seeing how you expand on it. Great job!

Thank you for playing, I am glad you enjoyed it.

I really like the whole mafia aesthetic going on here, it’s really fun. The lines seem to still work while interacting with dialogue so when I was through the tutorial I’d managed to make a bunch of points heh. Really neat concept!

Developer

Ah that bug haha. Thank you for playing, glad you liked the art style!
