How does your game fit the theme?
It's an arcade game, that has a music sequencing core, based on FL Studio (Fruity Loops). The BG music is a short loop too.
(Optional) What would you like to be called if GMTK features your game?

I think when you made the background music a short loop to fit the theme you could've gone with a longer loop lol it gets tiring fast. But gameplay is really fun! Nice work!
Fair, the synth especially I imagine. Didn't have time to implement the melody.
Though with how the game works, it's possible to change the loop over the game as it gets stale.
This games gives me such a rush! you have to do so much so fast! Enjoyed it very much :D
A fun but rather hectic take on the theme. Nice one~
(felt a biiit mean the shooters just dropping down and immediately destroying something but hey, kept the pressure on)
Very interesting take on the theme. The game looks and feels very good to play. I did find it annoying that the blocks/orbs just disappeared if I misplaced them a bit. I was also lost a bit on what exactly the Power meter was indicating. I still thought this was a pretty unique idea, but a tutorial of some sorts would have been good.
Yeah that's a bt of jank I couldn't resolve in time (because I started over I had 24 hours, with the sound board about done). The power bar is essentially just a slightly easier to see display of what the bass does (how much damage a click does).
Ohh gotcha. Didn’t realize it boosted the clicks. The game play somewhat reminds of this old game on the DS called “Henry Hatsworth in the Puzzling Adventure”. It also has two kinds of game play on the two screens that affect each other which this was very reminiscent of. It’s not relevant to anything, but just thought I’d share.
Love the idea.
I LOVE the rhythm!
Damn, can't believe someone actually made a DAW-based game!
Had a lot of fun, there were more variations to explore than I expected. Clever game design to have sounds get naturally removed by enemies so players can just focus on adding sounds and it will continue to evolve with out cluttering the track.
I really like all the games in this jam that utilize music! Creative name and idea. Good game!
It starts to be a little chaotic, but still great and enojyable. Nice idea with destroying beats and improving them :D
Great Idea ! Love it !
My wrist hurts but I liked the concept :) Good entry !
I like the idea. imo it would be cool if "synth - chords - bass - drums" structure could be changed. e.g having 3 layers of drums by placing a lot of them
I actually implemented the set layers so I wouldn't have to figure out (and make the player figure out) how the same instruments would interact with each other (double drums + normal drums = ?). Also it would sound bad, would've had to work around it
Loved how the music reacted to the gameplay!
Nice game !
Chaotic and energetic gameplay to go with the funky music! Pretty fun :)
The idea is so interesting!Like it
I love this idea!nice job
I didn't know you were doing this jam too! You did a really good job, this is probably my favorite interpretation of the theme that I've seen so far.
