More engaging than I expected! That baguette sound effect was really annoying, but apart from that this was a really fun little game!

Developer

Thank you so much for your time!!! Damn last comment before the end of the review process

Really creative and fun game! I like the art style and seeing the pencil mark get drawn is always satisfying!

Where did Clippy go! I don’t remember René in my Windows vista! That aside, the dialogue was pretty cheeky and fitting. Ended up way more engaging than I would’ve expected for drawing circles. Nice job. Oui.

Developer(+1)

Oh yea he missed the call for Vista, thank you for playing!

Extremely creative interpretation of the theme, and i enjoyed the comedy, i actually played it twice just to see if there would be a different ending. It was a tad annoying how the baguette could move to right where your marker is, but that could have been on purpose

Developer

Baguette is super erratic and for now just random! Multiple endings would have been cool but I only managed to squeeze in the alternate start... Glad you enjoyed it and thank you for playing!!!

Lovely charming little game. Dialogue is super funny. I finally get to live my life long dream of terrorizing the french.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for your service, this is René's personal hell and we are the tenants... Thank you for playing!!!

C'était très amusant de dessiner des cercles. Merci Rene François, mais attention, les baguettes ça se mange avant tout !

Developer

Baguettes are for fighting! Thank you for playing!

This absolute bastard, I am beating this Rene Fracois with hammers. 4/5.  In all seriousness, great game overall! Leaves a bit more to be desired but I had a lot of fun and it brought me a genuine giggle haha

Developer

I would endorse a little hammering! Thank you for playing! (also yea, it could use having more stuff to do)

I love the silliness in this game! You did a great job polishing such a simple concept. I thought I would get bored just drawing a circle but I just couldn't stop trying to make a better circle.

Developer

Thank you for playing, so glad you enjoyed the circle system!

I never knew drawing a circle could actually be fun though lol but this game pulled it off. Really creative to take such a boring idea and make it fun. I enjoyed it :)

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing! Glad you enjoyed itt

It's such a basic idea but very well executed with good humor, I enjoyed the game a lot!
I think that actual spoken dialogue would make it even better because often times, I couldn't look at the text boxes, while I was drawing the circle, especially when my cursor was at the top of the screen. Also the baguette sound is a bit annoying. But the rest, including the game's length, is really really good.

Developer

Thank you for playing! Yea I really wish I lowered the baguette sound when I could... Glad you enjoyed it!

Absolutely loved it! Dialogues are well written and the gameplay changes at the right time to keep things interesting and challenging. As a fellow frenchman I connected well with René. Really fun game, good job!

Developer

Thank you for playing, glad you enjoyed it :D ! The french representation in the game is paying off!

Oh man, this reminds me of playing some goofy flash games on PCs in school. Good job.

Developer

These are incredibly flattering words honestly! Thank you for playing!

j'ai was laughing mon lil butt off at rene, such a heartwarming experience, the perfect amount of stress, frustration and fun - AND a great length :) ive thought a lot about how id love to make a game at some point where the player is trying to accomplish something within the game, and a character is an obstacle to the player, and about the relationship which then forms between that character and the player directly, as opposed to some player character (idk if that makes any sense??) but this totally nailed that feeling, and in such a comedic way!! had a wonderful time with this, thank you for makin it :))

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for playing! I'm so happy people are feeling the relationship between the player and René is conveyed nicely... It was my first time attempting something like this and I'm very proud of the result!

this game is not cozy at all. its pretty good tho still cant draw that circle purrfectly. you could add the option where the guy draws the perfect circle and laugh at you for not being able to draw one

Developer

That could be fun, maybe putting in his own pen and starting to draw perfect circles (the pen would be an obstacle lol). Thank you for playing! And yea it stops being cozy early on (/;o;\)

Submitted(+1)

or you can draw alongside his pen to get a perfect circle ;)

Submitted(+1)

I am much better at drawing circles now.

Something about the feel of this reminds of the Mario Party mini game Crazy Cutter.

Fantastic job! If you add a free play mode without obstacles--where we could focus 100% on drawing a perfect shape, I could literally become addicted to this.

Developer(+1)

Free-play is a good suggestion! Thank you for playing and congrats on learning how to draw a circle!

Loved the game, very charming, started by loving the baguette and ended hating the baguettes :D
Great Job! I will be waiting for a croissant update

Developer

I didn't consider croissants until now, but you may be onto something... Thank you for playing!

Such a good game! Had me laughing out loud near the end.

Developer

He's losing his sanity and you are laughing. (thank you for playing!!!)
