How does your game fit the theme?
The challenge is to make as many words as you can using the 15 random character tiles provided to you. Tiles are arranged in a clockwise loop, meaning words can start and wrap around the loop in any direction.

Pretty relaxing cool game
very challenging game, but enjoyful
Hey, other Loople creator! Really interesting to see how you took the same kind of concept in a different direction, and I thought it was very creative how loops were incorporated - especially since it's not a necessity to make a loop every round, it makes them all the more special when you do achieve them. Unfortunately, despite making a word game myself, I'm pretty bad at them and can't think more than two steps ahead for the life of me, so it was tough for me to get a high score 😅. Still, I enjoyed your game and admire the work it must have taken to develop this. I think from here, the game could go a long way with some polish: add some animations and sound effects when a letter is added and deleted, have an animation as well as some clearly visible calculations in the game for when the score is tallied up, a way to share your score, and I think this could make for a really fun published game! It was really great to check out each others' work, and I hope your game does great in the jam - kudos!
I agree with your feedback regarding more polish and a highscore. I think adding a highscore would really increase replayability and give something for others to compete against.
This is a clever little word game, once I figured out what was going on it was pretty fun! I don't really have any expertise in word games so I'll only go into detail on this one thought:
The only thing that came to mind was that the score doesn't feel like much of a motivation because It's just too much of a black box to know what a "good" score really is. I think a frame of reference to compare your score to would go a long way to making the accomplishment felt. Something like an algorithm that calculates the theoretical max score based on the given letters. The alternative would be to make the levels more puzzle-y handcrafted levels that give the player clear objective markers of success. Either way, a score alone isn't enough to reward the player, they also need a context to frame it in.
That's all I have for feedback, this was a lovely little word game and I wish you all the best in the jam! Keep making games and have fun!
Thank you for your feedback!
In regards to scoring I was inspired by the way Balatro builds up very big scores. My concern of showing the score before the end of the round would be the player might over optimise their score as much as possible before they submit it, make them spend more time per round then what I think should be ideal.
I think it might be possible to work out a theoretical max score, but as the letters are randomly generated I am not sure how computationally expensive it would be to calculate the highest possible score with 15 random letters and about 170k dictionary words.
I do think the method of scoring could be more easy to visualise though. Currently it is a base score of 1 multiplied by the length of each word so it can get very high. I was thinking it might be simpler to have a score of 100 for each word multiplied by the word length instead but I don't think it rewards long words as well as it should.
This one's really good. Definitely feels like the type of game I'd see on the NYT website along with Wordle.
Addictive game! Some additional feature will make this a great competitor to all the other word games out there.
Good game but hard as my native language is not english :)
Yo this is hard :< I'm sure old ppl would love it tho!
Got the idea, but I couldn't play it as much as I couldn't select the lower buttons. They were outside my screen.
Hi, thanks for playing. Unfortunately this game is not optimised for mobile but if you are on a desktop it should be ok. If you still have any problems please let me know.
This was a really fun game and the design is really sleek. It is a very refreshing take on common word games and it was interesting to see how many words can come from a single one! There is a lot of opportunity in this game and i think you should develop the concept further. Overall this is just a great game!
As a big fan of Wordle, this was just amazing — super clean and satisfying to play. I even came back for a second round, and that’s when I realized: a shuffle button to randomize the bottom characters would be chef’s kiss. You should seriously consider releasing this — people would go crazy for it!
Wow what a cool take on the word game! Trying to imbed as many words as possible is such a fun twist that you really sit and stew with the letters for a long time. My parents aren't gamers but I bet they would ADORE this. Really cool entry, thank you for making it!
Also wanted to call out the clear button, it didn't return the letters to the tray while I was playing but that didn't have a big impact :)
Thanks for submitting your game for my stream! I'm a big fan of word games and it was really satisfying to see all the words I got, even when I didn't know I'd got them!
great brain game! very fresht ake on a NYT style word game. the clear button was broken but the backspace worked fine. fun game good job! :) also which there were sound FX at all.
Oh, that was a lot of fun! It’s simple, yet surprisingly complex at the same time. Really creative to incorporate the loop mechanic into a word arrangement game. The tip about using the backspace button to work around the clear button bug was helpful — but honestly, that didn’t take away from the fun I had with it at all. Really great work!
Very simple, very creative. Enjoyed it!
fun game, very simple yet still very creative and enjoyable. would have been nice if there was some audio but not that big of an issue
Amazing take on the word game genre! It's not everyday you find a game that emphasizes finding words within words.
Unfortunately, there's a bug where clicking "Clear" takes away your letters :(
The circular arrangement is a creative twist on the genre, nice job!
Hee-Ho. Good smart game. I need to upgrade my English level. I had an issue with Clear button (I couldn't select button again after clear)
Sorry for this screenshot (some times my pc make very light screenshot, in game I saw two missing button as grey)
Oh dear. That's definitely a bug, thank you for letting me know. I have the same issue when I check.
