How does your game fit the theme?
Well my game involves a Monk. But not just any monk. He's a farming, surving, crafting son of a gun. But there is only one problem every time he goes out farming, crafing, and well trying to survive... He comes back to the start, with all his farm back and he has to start all over. There is one silver lining to all of this that what ever items he found along his journey, always come back with him and it seems he gets a bit more time with each adventure. Can he find a way to find himself out of this never ending hell? Also this is my first ever completed game ever and I am just so excited that I got the chance to join this community this year. This is leagues better than my first game, I’m glad you pushed through and submitted despite the difficulty. 🔥 The first game is always the hardest.
I enjoyed the experience and made it to the end! I think it’s awesome it has a win and loose condition and the experience felt complete and whole. Only recommendation I would give for future games is to gently inform the player of its systems. I was a little lost until I found the crafting cheat sheet. After I found It though I was crushing and having a great time. I liked the game and think you have mad potential! Great work in the jam! :)
Nice entry for your first game! It is a bit weird that the character sprite turns completely to the walk direction. Also it was not clear to my when the game ends and why the time increases with every run. It would be better understandable to increase the time depending on upgrades. Anyway congrats on finishing a game! (:
I like the idea of looping back to where he came from after he gathers resources. It makes the player take time to plan where the resources will be. Great game for a first game! Maybe fix the position of the character where he is facing.
Well done! It's a good concept
I like your story you wrote in the description.
A very good game for being your first completed game! Well done :D
Wow Such a good concept!!
Great first game and a game overall, the music fits it very much and the surroundings is beautiful. only thing I would change is to not rotate the player by that much when they move around to the given direction. great one!
Great first game!
Not bad, it's a pretty complex game for your first jam. Most people must have pointed it out, but rather than rotating the player sprite should flip. It's musch more natural.
If you want the game to feel more alive try giving the player some feedback from actions, little flashes, particles, small wiggly animations... Game juice is awesome to make your game look good (even if it's a bit buggy)
Other thing i'd suggest, make sure text is readable, the colors you chose are slightly off, try at first with black on white or white on black, if you add colors try not to make them too vibrant or have a look at some color theory. There are many tools online to get a color palette.
The rest is up to you, keep learning, keep improving and one day you'll end up creating a masterpiece :)
Hector thank you so much for this thought out feedback. This is super helpful and I will definitely be taking this into my next project. I appreciate it my friend! And thank you for playing my game!
This is really well done for a first jam and game! Collection, crafting and progress and the loop mechanic works perfectly : ) good game!
Nice first entry! I found the movement funny and the automatic-crafting that incentivizes finding the recipies was interesting! Congrats on finishing your first game :)
Hello again, solid work for a game that was made in 4 days with 1 month of gamedev experience bro, keep up the work and don't give up, if you keep making small projects like this you will definitely improve. Devs should help out devs, so if you have any questions our team would love to help you out on Discord.
There's definitely a lot of room for polish, but your game is very playable and forgiving to compensate. Making crafting automatic was a good call, as well as keeping your resources with each loop. It reminds me a bit of early app store games like Pocket God where you combined elements to create new discoveries, but with an element of exploration. Nice work for your first jam!
Cool concept! I think that the sprite rotation was a bit disorienting, but I got where you are going with!
I think with some more polish it could actually have a very satisfying game loop!
Not bad at all for a first game! Well done, keep it up!

I can see what you were going for! Great game for a first jam game
The speed survival aspect was very novel and quite enjoyable!
I really like the concept and gameplay. The game could you some polish here and there but for a first game jam it's really good!
I love resource gathering games so this was really fun! It's a pity more of the world wasn't filled out with completed assets but as it was your first jam you honestly just did really well to complete this! The gameplay and movement/collisions were all great, and since you used a lot of asset packs for the art I'm guessing this is where most of your time went. I didn't love the entirely rotating player (this was super confusing at first) but that's an easy thing to tweak.
Congrats on finishing your first jam - I hope to see you in more! (You're also a great vibes streamer so I hope you keep at that too - thanks for playing the GMTK jam on stream).
Great concept! After failing once, I managed to escape in 2:46.
You've already got comments outlining some of the bugs, so I won't go into that. A crafting game is an ambitious project for a first game, especially with only a few days of dev time, so props for pulling it off! If you were to expand on it, I'd say some enemies would be a cool addition.
Overall great job! Looking forward to playing your future creations.
I found you through the stream, but unfortunately I couldn’t send a message there.
Couldn’t hold back my curiosity to check out your first developed game. So, despite the character rotation issue, you did a great job, nice game idea!
Also, I’d be grateful if you could try out my game and give it a feedback!
