How does your game fit the theme?
Well my game involves a Monk. But not just any monk. He's a farming, surving, crafting son of a gun. But there is only one problem every time he goes out farming, crafing, and well trying to survive... He comes back to the start, with all his farm back and he has to start all over. There is one silver lining to all of this that what ever items he found along his journey, always come back with him and it seems he gets a bit more time with each adventure. Can he find a way to find himself out of this never ending hell? Also this is my first ever completed game ever and I am just so excited that I got the chance to join this community this year. Pretty neat game I loved the idea behind the game it is really nice and cool concept. Game looks nice. My feedback is controls should be more easy when moving character rotates and it requires some adjusment period and UX and UI bit missing but that is exactly why jams for keep it up. Great work!!

Developer

Thank you so much for the Feedback Mohito! I couldn't agree more my next goal for the next jam is polish polish polish!

Pretty simple game, good job on making your first game! I found it to be a bit of a weird mechanics to have to restart a map in like 30 seconds or so to fit the theme, so it kinda takes away from the game rather than adding to it. But I hope you continue to develop your skills and make better games in the future!

Developer

Lestavol thank you so much for playing my game and giving me feedback! I agree the map loop definitely didnt finish out how I was planning but regardless I appreciate you trying it out!

Sweet game. I wish there was little more feedback. Making games is super hard so I am not sure if the way the character moved was on purpose or not - I found it funny though! Even if it was an accident, I would lean into it and make more things shift direction in weird ways. It could have even been a game mechanic!

Nice game, sound was soothing. Glad I played it

Developer(+1)

SlamDan that means the world! I know the movement was definitely quirky and I definitely thought about how you could make something like that work. Thank you so much for the feedback and trying out my game!

At first I didn't get it, but the fact that you have a limit amount of days really is the glue that holds the mechanics together. It gives you and incentive to make the most of every day. Greate stuff. But the lack of feedback when you do something and the fact that the monk changes direction when you go left/right bring down the game a little.

Developer

Couldn’t agree more about the monk and the movement. Thank you so much for the solid feedback it truly is appreciated and most importantly thank you for trying my game and saying anything at all!

Very nice concept, actually figured out the crafting recepies without looking. Especially good considering you're new to Unity

Developer

laval I’m coming back to finish your game I talked about it with my wife actually and how funny it was!

And that is super impressive I was hoping just one person would figure it out without having to look at them. Thank you so much for playing my game!

Came from the stream and I have to say, you did not give yourself enough credit. This is a good game, it's not perfect but it is still incredible that you managed to make this in 4 days while working and streaming. You should be really proud of yourself for coming up with a creative spin on the theme and being able to execute it well. Can't wait to see what you come up with in the future!! Congratulations!!

Curry that means the world you have no idea! Playing all the games today and the rest of the jam really has shown me it’s all about learning and growing as a developer! I have a long way to go but this has been such a motivating start receiving all this support I definitely was even nervous about submitting something!

Neat concept, simple little crafting game. Some markers on where everything is located would be good. Also for me the camera seem to zoomed in, hard to see what you have around.

Developer

Domke hearing this feedback from you is high praise considering your game. (I have a feeling I’ll be seeing your game in a certain video very soon). But thank you for the feedback it really means the world and I’m definitely going to take this advice into my next game!!

Submitted

Impressive you made a crafting game. I just couldn't really figure out how to craft :(

Developer

Kjoeb tbanks for giving it a shot! There was a crafting table in the middle of the map where you started that auto crafted as long as you had the materials. Definitely the worst part of the game and I should spent more time on it. Thank you so much for giving it a shot!!

Submitted

Neat concept! I wonder how the immersion would be with a "hands-on" crafting system?

Developer(+1)

thank you so much Vapor! I have wondered myself. I thought about the crafting idea for a long time but could never really come up with a solid idea for it. But that’s the fun in game jams fail and fail some more until you get something right!

Submitted

Quite enjoyed it, Failed my first time around though.

Developer(+1)

thanks for playing it Buckerneir! Yea it didn’t quite get the flow I was going for but I had a lot of fun making it and learned a lot along the way!

This is so good for a first game! A clever concept, not too big of a scope, interesting mechanic at work... You've got good design instincts! Keep it up!

Developer(+1)

thank you James!! I had a blast with your game was blown away!

Interesting game, that was quick to catch on. I did not manage how to escape, but maybe next time : )

Developer

Thanks for trying it out Max! It was my first game so a lot I wished I could of changed mainly a ui for the crafting so you could figure out the recipes. Means so much you played my game!

Submitted

I appreciate the foray into the "Metroidbrainia" genre (Dunno if this genre name has caught on? Think Outer Wilds, Toki Tori 2, UFO50 Barbuta - using your knowledge as "keys" to progress). I'm not sure if that's how you turn to face things, but there's a clear vision here for what could be done with more time and experience. Good first game.

Developer

Yes exactly what I was trying to go for! Didn't quite get the formula perfect but was a lot of fun to make and I am having a blast in this jam!

Nice for a first game, autocrafter game seems like a cool idea

Developer

Thank you! A lot I feel I could of improved on. Day 2 was spent tying to make a ui for the crafting table but then decided on the auto craft after not being able to figure it out. Really appreciate you playing my game!

Wow, huge respect! 👏 I can’t believe this is your first completed game — it feels polished and fun. The loop mechanic mixed with crafting is a really cool idea, and I love the survival pressure behind each run. Super impressive for just one month of Unity! Keep going — you've got something special here. 🔥

(And thanks for the cheat sheet — I definitely needed it 😅)

Developer(+1)

Man thank you so much for trying out my game!!! And to hear your praise after playing your game just  means so much!!

Howdy, fun game. Once I understood how the collection and crafting worked, it was good. I liked the ambient music you have playing, good to have something in the background.

Developer

Thank you! I spent a whole day trying to work on the crafting table ui so you can select what you wanted to craft but I could not get it working so I just went the auto craft route but thank you so much for playing my  game!

Submitted

There are some nifty strategies here.

Great Game.

Developer

Thank you that means the world!! Definitely was fun to see the loop system come together.

Nice nice! It’s pretty creative! Although… I don’t know if it’s just me, but even after 2 tries, I wasn’t ale to activate the portal. And I know you’re new - so just a little help - the inventory UI is stuck when you retry, and doesn’t reset :) Don’t worry, you can try to fix and update it! You still have 11 hours!

I don’t know if I was supposed to do something with the snail and the house, but I wasn’t really able to… I tried both R and E, but nothing happened. Nonetheless, keep it up, you can become a great developer!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the kind words! Yea the crafting recipes to get the final key to activate the portal is almost impossible to figure out with trial and error. I really wanted to make it so you could select the recipes but I could not get the UI figured out. Snail and house were aesthetic but definitely just added more confusion XD. This was so helpful thank you!

Awesome game for just 1 month of game dev! Very fun concept. Great job!

Developer

Thanks man that really means a lot! Your game was a blast!!!
