This is a pretty generic idea, but the execution was really good. Though i would suggest adding a revert just one round button, and making all the waiting a lot smaller.
Hey, thanks for the suggestion.
There are many games with clone/loop/ghosts ideas, this one is slightly diff in a good way, though I didnt enjoy having to wait for the loop to start : ) still a good game!
Hey, thanks for playing! I understand the waiting part and seems like fast forwarding is a common suggestion here.
nice game but kinda over complicated
I understand it's pretty complicated. Lots of time paradoxes and weirdness that can be hard for many to comprehend. I tried to make the tutorial as clear as possible.
Although there are many games with similar idea, this one still stands out. Good job.
Thanks for playing!
Very well made, lot's of good game design decisions with giving the right amount of leniency while still being a bit tricky. Very solid game jam game.
Thanks for the compliment! The game and level design did take a bit of effort, glad that paid off! Fun fact is that before submission, the future bot used to be able to uppercut the past bots, but that was removed to minimise the amount of paradoxes that should help ease the players in.
The soundtrack was very calming, and the motion of each bot felt similarly smooth. Solving the puzzles together with your past self was fun; I've seen a lot of those types of games this jam. It could be cool if you could skip to the next loop though, especially if you've already positioned your bot where you want it for the duration of the next one. Cool game!
Thanks for playing! Many players are also suggesting some sort of fast forward so the next loop can start quicker. I will pass that compliment to my composer!
I like the game, my only complaint is that it feels a bit sluggish having to wait for the timer to run out and then the 3 2 1 count down
Hey thanks! Glad you enjoy the game. I understand the issue of waiting for time to run out.
A way to speed things up is all this game needs.
Good job!
Hey thanks! Seems like everyone requesting for some sort of fast forward.
great job, just need a way to speed things up!
Hey thanks! Seems like everyone requesting for some sort of fast forward.
Wow this is pretty neat! The tutorial did a good job of teaching me the core mechanic. I'd like to see a way to manually speed up the time between loops! Great work!
Thanks for the feedback! I figure the core mechanics is too difficult to put in words so I just plaster them in-game levels instead of "How to play" screen, glad that worked out :) I will look into speeding up after the jam.
I have seen this concept a few times but I like that there are multiple actions each bot can take so you really havee to think ahead and I like that you sometimes have to get multiple bots to the door. There was a bug where one of the previous bots horizontal movement was not saved. Good job on the tutorial, the game is approachable and the polish is pretty good too!
Thanks for playing! Glad you have fun with the puzzles! I'm sorry that you faced a bug with the replay, probably skipped a frame or something, will be looking into adding some failsafe. But honestly the replay is so dependent on consistent physics update loop it might be tricky for it to work across different computers.
It’s quite relaxing!
Hey, thanks!
very satisfying puzzles here, bravo!
it'd be nice to have the option to repeat just the current loop or even go back one loop to minimize repetition
Hey, thanks for playing! Happy to hear the game is fun. Will take that feedback into consideration.
Nice job! I liked that the bots did the actions in same way so there are multiple ways to complete the map
Hey, thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it.
Oh, so cute! The concept is super addictive! I spent a while at first trying to get through the door, but that was just because I didn't realize you had to use the "ghosts." :D It's my fault! Otherwise, it's really good! The music is really chill!
Hey, thanks for playing! It's a time paradox sort of puzzle so it can get pretty complex, so no worries about not getting the hang of it. The tutorialisation of the game can be better, but due to the limited time, it has to be mostly explained as in-game text.
Yeah! I'll try again! Once again, it's well done!
Nice game! It is a bit wonky at times, but for the most part it's fun and I liked it.
Thanks for playing! Glad you had fun and enjoyed it.
Cool concept! I had some issues with the doors, but otherwise it was a cool puzzle
Hey, thanks for playing! Can you share what was the issue with the doors?
Honestly I think I just didn’t fully understand the mechanics. I would press a lever on both loops 1 and 2, but the door wouldn’t move at all on loop 3. Maybe I’m a little stupid haha
Do you remember which level is it? Some levels have multiple switches that requires them to be activated simultaneously to open the door, might be the 3rd bot that did something that indirectly affected the other 2 bot's movement, like it got uppercut by 1st bot causing 2nd bot to miss the uppercut and therefore missing the rest of the sequence.
It could also be the replay system because honestly it has to be precise.
I think it was just that first level with a switch in the bottom right corner. I thought I did everything right but it didn't go as I expect. Maybe I didn't realize how precise it had to be, sorry about that
Fun puzzle game! I did encounter a few bugs with inputs being eaten/disappearing between loops. I’m not sure if that’s intended, but the behavior was consistent — it definitely added some “thinking with portals” challenges to the game!
Hey, thanks for playing! It's definitely a challenging puzzle game. As for the replay bug, the capture of the action is done in physics update loop, i.e. FixedUpdate for Unity or _physics_update in Godot for the most accurate possible replay. Might be some underlying replay manager code skipping frames that caused such bugs, will need more time to investigate.
Fun game, but plagued with issues of inconsistent playback where I know the solution, but after the loop, the bot won't uppercut or something and I'll just end up skipping. Still a good game regardless, enjoyed the art, puzzles were interesting and could be challenging, just wish the jam had more time so that this game could become as good as it could be.
Hey, thanks for your feedback. I think the reason why the bot aren't getting uppercut is because the uppercut only affects 1 bot, might be the 3rd loop's bot got uppercut instead of the 2nd one. I should have made it such that uppercut affects all bots on range instead.
Great game
Hey, thanks!
