Nice work! Really enjoyed the puzzles, just did not enjoy all the waiting and how long it took to progress.

The concept is really interesting, and I like how you incorporated the different mechanics like crates and launching.

Developer

Hey thanks for playing! I understand the waiting part so I will be looking into doing fast forward if I were to expand on this game.

Love it! Needs a speed-up button or similar but otherwise had pretty good level design!

Developer(+1)

Hey thanks! Speed up is definitely highly requested!

A clever concept and some nicely designed puzzles. Unfortunately I had issues with my past robots not replaying what I did correctly and making levels unbeatable.

Developer

Hey, thanks for the feedback. If the issue is mainly about the past bots launching another bot upwards, it could be because your 3rd bot might be overlapping those other 2 bots, and uppercut picked the wrong one as uppercut only launches 1 bot. This will be changed. Also, may I know if you are running the game on a low-specs computer, I have a theory that this might affect the recording/replaying accuracy.

Submitted

I did have some issues with the uppercut, I had one level where I stood in place spamming uppercut for a while but then on the replay it stood still and only uppercut once at the end. I had another level where I broke a box to stand on a button behind it but on the replay it didn't break the box and just walked into it, never hitting the button. My computer is old but generally runs fine, I haven't had issues playing other games this jam.

Developer

ah ok, I think it's probably the game assumes it will be running at 60 FPS so the recording and replaying is sampled at 60 fps. if the application slows down later, then the replay may not be accurate as the recording takes in the frame count instead of the actual time.

Nice little loop. I felt like I was waiting quite often for the timer to end, movement to start, etc. - if these moments were tightened up a little together with the controls I think you have a solid game going.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Fast forwarding is requested by many players, so I will be looking into that.

Love the idea and the concept of the game! It was also fun to see new mechanics and controls be introduced to add some puzzle element and creating thinking challenges. It was an enjoyable experience with great audio and art. Wonderful job! :)

Developer

Thank you for playing! Glad you had fun!

Great game! The fixed time limit for the time loops definitely help solidify the puzzle mechanics, allowing for a good variety of tricky but not frustrating puzzles. Overall, I enjoyed playing through all the levels. If this game is expanded upon, it would probably make sense to add some quality of life features, like the ability to restart a particular loop, go back a loop to correct something, or potentially something fancy like the ability to retry a previous loop without having to redo the loops after it. For the levels this game has right now, though, such abilities are certainly not needed.

I am glad that the game lets me preview a level and decide when I'm ready to start the next loop, giving me time to think.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Those QoL features definitely will be considered as many are also requesting for them. Previewing level is a feature that will stay so players can plan in advanced.

Very good idea! The second level with the launch mechanic was a bit tough, I only got it to launch once and it didn’t really go where I thought it would. But overall, I enjoyed it!

Developer

Thanks for playing! I definitely need to take some time to look into the bot launching issue.

Great concept, the only problem is that a lot of puzzles are really challenging to execute. Sometimes when a bot launches another bot it doesn't land quite at the same space where you did making it miss the jump, causing the entire level needed to be restarted. But the mechanic itself is really good and provides a lot of interaction between you and your clones that some other games with a similar concept didn't.

Developer

Thanks for playing! Some puzzles require predicting future actions which is rather challenging as a concept, I think the difficulty scales too quickly, if I were to do a full game ever, will definitely take note of the difficulty curve.

As for bot launching, I'm not sure if computer specs have to do with how accurately it can replay the actions, because the replay is done in a fixed update loop, which in theory should provide the most accurate replay, but it may also run less frequently on lower specs machine. It could also be the uppercutting bot launched the wrong bot up, maybe the future 2 clones were right on the uppercutting bot and it uppercut the wrong bot, as uppercut only launches 1 bot. Will be changing this interaction to affect all bots.

Cute! Nice art and design.  It would be nice if there was a way to skip waiting till the end of the loop...

Developer(+1)

Thanks for playing! Fast forwarding is definitely some QoL feature to do.

Submitted(+1)

love the design of the bots they are my friends!!!! cool concept and a take on the theme i surprisingly haven't seen  a ton of! i do agree with the comments on the face that a speed up button would've been nice!!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Quite happy with how the bots turned out too.

Cool idea with potential that needs it's sharp corners to be sanded off a bit.
My main complaint would be the player needs to wait a lot, and you should avoid it. A button to fast forward to the end to the loop; changing to need to spam F into a "trampoline pose" that launches other robots up; removing the countdown at the start, or speeding it up. You get the idea.
Still, cool project for a game-jam, don't get discouraged!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, I think "trampoline pose" does sound good, and fast forwarding and reduced wait time are definitely something everyone recommended.

Submitted(+1)

Cool idea. Maybe could be streamlined a bit to be faster.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, definitely some waiting times can be reduced or removed.

Submitted(+1)

Last 2 puzzles were nice! My biggest issue is that launch input gets eaten very often, so you need to stand in one place and spam it to be reliable

Developer

Thanks for playing! The last 2 puzzles definitely took a bit of work to design, glad it turned out well. As for the input issue, I'm not sure what's causing the input to get eaten, will take some time to look into it after the jam concludes.

I love the art! It's reminds me a lot of flash games. Great work, keep it up!

Developer

Hey, thanks for playing. Happy to hear that you love the art.

Very cool idea and a cool take on the loop theme. I think you should make the game overall faster. The transition screen faster, and definitely not a timer or someway to skip it. Overall a very good game I liked it a lot. Could you rate my game?

Developer

Thanks for the feedback, I guess there's a lot of places that can cut some waiting time.

I will rate yours in a while.

Submitted(+1)

This is a pretty generic idea, but the execution was really good. Though i would suggest adding a revert just one round button, and making all the waiting a lot smaller.

Developer(+1)

Hey, thanks for the suggestion.

Submitted(+1)

There are many games with clone/loop/ghosts ideas, this one is slightly diff in a good way, though I didnt enjoy having to wait for the loop to start : ) still a good game!

Developer

Hey, thanks for playing! I understand the waiting part and seems like fast forwarding is a common suggestion here.

Submitted(+1)

nice game but kinda over complicated

Developer(+1)

I understand it's pretty complicated. Lots of time paradoxes and weirdness that can be hard for many to comprehend. I tried to make the tutorial as clear as possible.

Submitted(+1)

Although there are many games with similar idea, this one still stands out. Good job.

Developer

Thanks for playing!

Very well made, lot's of good game design decisions with giving the right amount of leniency while still being a bit tricky. Very solid game jam game.

Developer

Thanks for the compliment! The game and level design did take a bit of effort, glad that paid off! Fun fact is that before submission, the future bot used to be able to uppercut the past bots, but that was removed to minimise the amount of paradoxes that should help ease the players in.
