I love the high scores feature! Nice game!
Great idea, good job! I like it a lot.
This was pretty fun, it gets really challenging after some time
I loved this idea! It got hectic as I was trying to stay in the zone. The near-misses add a lot of fun and the sound effects give that nice boost of satisfaction.
Using a trackpad was tricky; had to stay in one spot to use the shield. I also would have loved to be able to spend my points on upgrades for extra replayability.
Overall, great job on a well-designed game!
Absolutely loved this, so tricky, but SO satisfying when things start getting hectic and you start getting back to back near misses! Definitely going to come back and try to improve my score, awesome work!
Good stuff! the loops that launch the meteors into random directions made it a lot more intense
Fun game! The music created a relaxing atmosphere, even while I was stressing to survive.
I love that the shield availability has visual feedback, this is great! Stuff like this is often overlooked
Nice gameplay, I especially liked how the sound cues worked with the general ambience.
Great game!
nice
Pretty fun! That leaderboard is tempting me to spend hours trying to get top 1 lol
Neat little game, I managed to secure a top 10 spot on the leaderboard :D
Very fun!! The risk/reward of staying within the zone to increase you're score is very engaging- I like how effectively you are able to encourage the player to move in a loop without forcing them too- very neat and satisfying! Also really cool you added a high score system- we thought about doing that for our game too, but ran out of time.
I don't know what engine you used, but I did notice that a lot of the sounds would cut each other off- I'm making a lot of assumptions here so this might not be helpful, but a lot of times that happens because in many engines Audio Sources are only able to play one sound at a time, so in order to play multiple sounds at once, you'll need multiple audio sources. Something to look at for future!
Really like the spinning mechanic, nice game!
How did you score so many points??
I'm not sure how some of my friends are so good at this, but staying inside the bonus zone keeps ramping up the score multiplier infinitely. If you make it to a x30 multiplier and get a few near-misses, things ramp up pretty quick!
A lot of fun, took me a little bit to understand what was happening, but I got the hang of it. 5th place on the leaderboard!
Cool bullet hell! I wish there was an indicator (visual or audio) to show that the shield has recharged without looking at the shield icon.
Other than that, it was nice playing it! Enjoyed it a lot :)
Thanks for playing our game and for your feedback! Glad you enjoyed it!
There is actually an indicator in terms of the color of the spaceship itself. However it was one of the things that we wanted to improve but couldn't because of the time. Thanks again for your feedback!
Oh ok, I'm slightly colorblind so I couldn't notice it shifted from light blue (?) to pink
I think this game's retro aesthetic would definitely benefit snappy contrasts!
Regardless, congrats on the submission. I really enjoyed it :)
Ah, really sorry about that. We checked for colorblindness compatibility yesterday morning, but after that we had such a flurry of UX improvements and sounds that we forgot to check again!
liked it wish there was a starting screen tho
btw how did you add that highscore thingi
We used Talo, it's a service that makes it relatively easy to set this up for Godot and it's free up to a lot of users.
Great game! the mechanics are preety deep and make the game really challengeing if you want to go for a highscore. the audio is also amazing!
