Found it a little fiddly to control, but seems like a solid little game :3 Like the art style

Hello, fellow bug-circling game devs! This was a very stylish game, and very satisfying when you successfully circle a bug!

I found it very tricky to predict the radius I would get based on the height of the mouse. I wonder if some sort of preview line projected in front of you would help, so you can immediately see how the mouse position impacts how tightly you will turn. I ended up just leaving the mouse at roughly the middle of the screen and pulsing the left/right buttons to choose how sharply to turn.

I am curious, is there a way to break the cycle? I got all the enemies and it restarted, but the description implied there might be more to find…

Developer

Pretty sure there is a preview line, right on wormy's head! And I've heard rumors that you can break the cycle...

Submitted

Oh wow, you’re so right. I don’t know if it was my screen contrast or if I just wasn’t paying enough attention to my character because I was busy looking at where I wanted to go, but yeah, using the antenna for the preview lines makes sense!

And I’ll have to revisit this later and see if I can break the cycle.

This one is pretty good. It was a little unclear what you were supposed to do at first, but when the arrows showed up it was more clear. The artwork is quite creative!

A very cool and cohesive concept, with great artwork and fitting sound design. Great Job! I didn’t quite understand what the numbers meant.

Thank you so much!!

Awesome choice of sound palette in this one. Once you get used to the controls they're also really satisfying. Only real issue I had with this was that the rebounding from walls was very dizzying, but I'm not sure if that's even something that can be adjusted or fixed haha, more-so something someone would just have to get used to.

Awesome game

Thank you so much! <3

Really nice fit for the theme of the jam. I had trouble understanding what I should do, I really didn't like how I bumped and got stuck a lot of time in tunnels. However it made me feel like a pro when I suceeded. Once I figured out what I should do it was too late and didn't want to do it all over.

I think it could use just a tiny bit more explanation, but I still managed to figure out that you can eliminate enemies, haha! I love the art direction! (Oh actually, I just saw in the game description that you did explain we could kill enemies, haha!)"

I like the controls for this game plus it is really satisfying when you loop multiple enemies at once. sound effects work well and i really like the overall aesthetic.

Only critique i had was navigation and the fact that i found my self heading back to the start a few times, maybe a map could help with this but i know you tried to lure the player in a direction with level design and enemy placement (I could just be getting diffed).

Really nice work!

The controls felt smooth and it felt nice to play. Some more explanation at the start would've been good because I nearly gave up before I came and read these comments to figure out what I needed to do

very fun game!! the tone is really unique and even though its creepy the game is kinda relaxing to play...

Love the grit in the visuals! but kinda felt falling short on the loop side.

Also for some reason for me it felt an advantage to be smol n short.

nice game i enjoy it so much and the loop is everywhere in this game and nice art style and smooth game play just a good job . also please consider to check my game and give me feedback

The art style is so yucky and dingy, and I'm all for it. Looks a little David Fith inspired, especially with how it's all animated and fleshy. The song might be my fav I've come across this jam too. It slaps hard. Loved the cedipied segment HP. I enjoyed how the player controlled and bounced off walls. Solid looping mechanic  ^_^

Would love more game with new mechanics and enemies to punish you for getting long!

Thank you so much!! :D

A lot of fun and I really enjoyed the music.  I didn't realize you had to loop around the creatures and was confused for a while on what I had to do.  I also think my worm might have brain damage from how many times I ran into the walls

Developer

Thank you!! Glad you figured it out! Don't worry the worm likes it when you run into walls. It's like his Cocomelon

I got stuck in the tunnels but eventually I figured it out! I liked this game!

Cool beans!

I found it hard to control the worm, but I really like the art style. I missed the “loop the enemies” stuff on first play, so maybe add that somewhere?

Neat game and had some fun, though I am a bit confused on why the UI is so hectic, I am still not fully sure what the numbers are that pop up sometimes.

A cohesive, different aesthetic - really liked the fever dreamy/supernatural style.  The vibration on the title text was perhaps dialed a little too high :p  Took me a minute to figure out how to damage enemies (though I see you have it right there in the description for the game so thats totally on me).  The game loop was really fun - trying to find the best route to capture up all the creatures as quickly as possible. The unpredictable movement pattern of the green enemies made for an additional challenge.
Still haven't figured out to how to "escape the loop". I see in the description you mentions absorbing *or* freeing their souls? Hmmm, I might be playing a few more times to see if I can figure it out!
Great submission, really enjoyed it!

AHA! I just figured it out.  That's SUPER neat. Bravo! Worm is free at last!

Developer(+1)

I think you're the first person to figure that out! Thanks for playing!

Developer(+1)

OMG!! You have no idea how happy I am that someone did it

Creeped me out in the best way. I still don't really know what the numbers mean, but the vibe is immaculate
