Heeeey! Glad to see more of this game starting to come out.

I got some feedback and it might be a bit too much but it's free!

1. Game Feel:

  • Most game queues and hints feel very shy, the graphic style could definetly go ESPECTACULAR, go all for it. Metroidvanias don't need to be coy with the player.
  • One aspect of this is enemy pattern signaling, making obvious decisions here won't hurt the game difficulty, and this ties directly to the animation principles: Anticipation, Action, Reaction. And this three weaved with Exageration.
  • This applies, tho condensed in order to feel responsive, to the player actions. Right now Dashes feel like an interrupt while parrying feels like a slow block. This makes the parry action confusing.
  • Tieing this last two bullet-points is where I think there is still a search for that sweet spot for player agency at the moment to decide the parry, making sure player can tell between parry-able and unblockable attacks. (Remember most game keep unblockable attacks in few minion enemies to highlight this as a Boss Trait)
  • IMPACT! both enemy and player attacks do not feel impactfull enough, there is a ton of feedback lacking, and honestly the dmg bonus from no hit combos is confusing, figured it out while thinking about it after the playthrough (this is another place to go ESPECTACULAR)
  • Enviroment queues are also a bit lacking, closer tho, but here is where this game make use of obvious signaling to player, cracks, weak appeareances, not just old looking.
  • I like my metroidvania with secret walls, chests laying around like they are right now feel like an afterthought (for a resource I can't even use) and substract from the current demo experience.
  • Hide those chests, or put em in a route where you tease the player first to make em explore in the direction they can't penetrate directly.

2. Setting and Storytelling:

  • Where am I? Who are this people? Why are they so helpless? Why the boss lays eggs?
  • The look is COOL and thank the dev-spirits you are not dealing with banding on your paralax environments, but everything feels disconected, roaming around without really belonging.
  • Enemies are mutants? Monsters? There is no clarity if this creatures are coming from the capsules I see laying around or if they are demons like the first boss

The game has excelent bones, I see the vision but I don't get inspired by it, if you guys work more on that I can assure this can be a very succesful metroidvania!

It's about the learning <3

Minimalist goodness, glad I downloaded it cause I wanna keep on playing, got to room 6, so far.

Great start! You've found a basic core mechanic and got some solid levels. Keep on keeping on (in this lane of thought!)

Finding the ghost band playing the soundtrack was the cherry on top!

The game idea is very fun, it gets repetitive but I understand the jam contrain to start complicating the necromancer stage a bit more. I like that you don't die to ghosts, but some more spice on how, where and WHY the parts to fix our poor test subject appear and are obtained would benefit this game if y'all decided to do some more with this.

The art is very much in my lane! Would adoooooore some animations (nothing fancy, New Grounds level)

Max Score 63! Very fun game! The sling on browser was a bit finniky, would love to play on mobile!

For a first jam this works! Next time I would say try to focus a little more on how the controls feels for the player, this game lacks on composition and a semblance of motion, given that everything is so linear on speed.

WELL DONE!!! First of all the puzzles are good, light fun. The art is OUTSTANDING and makes the lightness of the puzzles absolutely justified. It's an enjoyable piece all around.

One good fix would be to make sure the UI is adaptative even in web, and maybe take it in the same direction aesthetically.

Some texture, checkers, anything will make the player hace a sense of placement in the ring. Everything else is fine, gets monotone fast. The Big boss could've comed out on loop 4 or 5 instead of 10 and still be a succesful reveal.

Can't get past the wolfie, but saved it to keep on trying later. Very lovely chill game.

Extra kudos for the narrative intro <3

Took me a while to understan I could cycle my powers in the bottom right. I think a little tutorialization would have worked! Fun tho, I get hooked easily in this games

You managed to make a "The Bazaar" prototype in a Jam, that's outstanding!! And personally I loved the silly music

Lol just did, you mad people!

Omg I was able to tie my laces in the 2nd attempt!!

I will give some feedback just cause I can: THE TUTORIAL SCREEN. Dawgs think of readability, I know the game is suposed to put you in a place of "your body is a mech and you will pilot it" but soome more semblance of order there could help.

Aside from that, excelenteeeee

I enjoyed it! Got some incredible tin machine vibe.

Got some feedback:

- The chromatic distortion shader is nice and all but makes reading text very very dificult, always tune for usability first.

- I don't know if this game needs to be so "paused", building and efect can happen real time and would add some more rythm

- Left click to place, Right click to remove pweeeeese.

We wanted to try the transparency but in jam time the solution we found wasn't compatible with web T_T

We'll add some QoL after Jam and would appreciate if you could check it out once we can update (when the jam ends). Some of this feedback has been already applied there <3

It is  insane!

Make sure to comback once jam is done, we'll update with a lot of QoL when we can.

HEK YEEEH

Very fun concept, I come from trying a lot of games that don't resolve controls in favor of the player. This one is different! Tho I think there is some polishing to do with how far the camera moves and such.

I was able to consistently reproduce this bug en various levels:

Stuck in the clouds!

Love the musicality and idea overall. I think the control mapping is a bit unconfortable for the design of the challenges.

MOEBIUS INFINITOOOO, F Zeroism is FUERTE with this one. My best was 37s Muy bueno!

Found it really imposibe to manouver, frustrating even. Wanted to use the pull but kept on getting offseted.

I see what you do here but my coolers do not agree.

I think the idea is really good but how the game starts is fiendish from the get go. Would have loved some practice before shooting myself so much. Like maybe first teach the shooting, and theeen how to exploit enemy proyectiles.

Wanted to enjoy it but it got stucked after level 1 :( Good rating tho, love the minimalism.

Pahm Pampam PAPAPA PAAAAM, the music is excelent, the aethestic is fantastic, the contextualization is beautiful and the game is absolutely fun!!! Not only rating 5s all ovaaah but also adding to collection. Lo lo lo loove it parapapaaaa

The looping loadout I think is geeeenius for the theme, actually making it count. Controls are insufferable tho xD

Was I casting Lupus onto the foxes? That's evil.

This games are fun, drawing the loop and all, I hope there was some stabilization in, like drawing in an art program with some stability setting, cause doing it with the mouse in a manner that's fun leave the wrist hurting.

Very niiiiice! It's like a little trinket to play with, and it's pretty hard. Maybe is the speed indications, speed and direction entwined make it a bit complicated and takes many atempts to set it up right, which is fine for a chill time honestly tho.

I want the music made for this game! Loved the shoegazy vibe!

The game was fun, I kinda looked for ovnis to help be get past trafic jams mwehehe. Controls are waaay sensitive but it looks to be the intent.

Nice take! I'm curious if you ever played the Solo TTRPG Firelights, I think it's here on itch, the setting remiends me of it!

I don't know if the monster spawn is random, but I got very unlucky in 3 runs :(

I wanted to finish it cause I think the narrative idea es very cool and in my lane, but got bankrupt everytime :(

They got married and adopted all the cats on first try let's gooooooo.

Heeey, survived for 3 days cause I can't be a tribe leader EVER.

I got to understan better the cycle of activities a bit too late and got invaded by one big guy in a helmet, I think their name was Roger or something, I will find him and get revenge!

Adorable, but had 0 idea how to fight back to defend my toys!, a little confusing, but lovely.

Awesome, gonna keep my eye out for it!

This games supports joystick!

We'll be releasing an update after the Jam ends if you wanna try it with your prefered medium <3

Thanks for the remarks <3

Absolutely adore the lyricism of this game. At first I was doubtful cause I suck at this type of puzzles in games but found it more achivable, might be the freeze tool or just the well indicated signs for the player. No notes really!

As the basics this works well. First time I see the energy depleted become a secondary hinder when you lose control, good addition. Would have love some more spice to wrangle those bowie cows.

It's a nicely done sequencer, but I didn't got the looping feel honesly, wanted to be challenged a bit more.
