How does your game fit the theme?
You mainly do the same things all over again (emphasis on loop), but for gameplay purposes, things do change.

Nice concept, as a train nerd, I can't help but notice the train that takes you halfway across the world from Singapore to Toronto... Anyway, I love the mundaness of the game and the asestics blends in pretty well, pixelating the background is a nice touch that really adds to the aestics, GGs!

hello. thanks for the comment! if i'm going to be honest, i just grabbed a bunch of stock images from the web, dithered it, and slapped it into the game and called it "art." i did not know about that it did take you halfway across the world! you really are a train nerd

thanks!

Nice concept, the audio matches quite well the different stages. A little ending screen(s) could be a nice addition, although I enjoyed trying to get out of the loop after the first run :)

Developer

hello. thanks for the comment! the audio actually wasn't much work, i just simply made a chiptune tune that's actually 1/4 of a measure, looped it, and just pitched it down drastically as the days went by or reversed/slowed it down, or both! thanks!

I was not expecting the sudden spookiness. I really liked that twist!

Developer

hello. thanks for the comment. yeah it was my intention to make it spooky. thanks!

Wow.. I rated a bunch of games and this one is my favourite so far! I love the concept but it can totally use some polish. Day 6 scared the shit out of me omggggg I was not expecting that!!! I want to see this turned into an actual full fleshed video game. I will definitely keep up with your developments.

Great job!

hello. thanks for the comment! i'm very happy to hear that this game was your favourite out of the ones you've rated! because of the short deadline and many other reasons there is some lack of polish. yeah that was my intention to make day 6 creepy.
i'm very happy to hear that you want this to be a full fleshed out video game! post-jam i may continue work on this game.

may..? dude you better start working on it for real!

I didn't read the description before playing so the sudden change in the loop suprised me. Very cool idea for a game, I especially liked how the music distorts and glitches. Good job!

hello. thanks for the comment! i was thinking while making the game if the changes would catch some people off guard (one of my QA testers wanted to stop playing when day 6 came because it was "too scary" for them! even after assuring there wasn't anything scary they still refused). you'd think things would be the same because the theme is literally just "loop," right? well, not really in this case haha

The game has a narrative hook that kept me playing. But the game could use some more polish.

Developer

hello. thanks for the comment! before release i actually had some QA testers play the game and they said pretty much the exact same thing you said! because of the code that was held together by duct tape (slap in the engine the game was made in there if you will) and the rather short deadline, there wasn't much polish as i wanted there to be. nonetheless i'm still glad how it turned out and that people are liking it!

Hey it's a good game ! I like the message behind it.

I didn't found the secret passage. But i liked it !! I will follow the devlogs !

Developer

hello. very great to hear you enjoyed the game! if this does get well enough reception, i may work on this game post-jam, so keep eyes out for anything that may come!

Got stuck on day 7 (unless that was intentional!) but really enjoyed this!

Developer

hello! glad you took the secret ending route! i should've made this more clear, but you're supposed to just walk right (doesn't take a while). my bad. thanks!
