Interesting story game! But it was stuck me in a room with Mike on the second playthrough. I'm glad that even in such little time there can be this type of games.

Developer(+1)

Yeah, the bug with Mike in the second playthrough is a bummer. There is info about it on the game page. In short - there is no substantial difference between 1st and 2nd playthrough (save for one minor hard to spot detail right at the start), so if you want to see both optiont in the end it's best to save before, or if you just want to reexplore the game it's best to start a new one from title screen.

Thank you for playing my game and for your kind words! =)

Interesting little story game and use of the loop theme, reminds me of Black Mirror. Are there any differences in the subsequent loops (got stuck at the bug), or is the story looping forever? Good job either way :)

Developer (2 edits)

Thank you! Some Black Mirror episodes were indeed a source of inspiration for this story. There are no substaintial differences between playtroughs, exept small one at the very start (but it's hard to spot). Yeah, the bug was preveously reported and I made adjustment to description page about it -  in short, if you want to see both variations of ending it's best to save before it than to play second playtrough, if you want to explore the game again it is best to start a new one from menu than to play second playtrough.

I like the concept I'm just not sure why this guy is going to an office job in full warrior uniform

Developer

Ha-ha, yeah, that's kinda breaks the immersion. I did want to make different character models, but  time was short Т_Т

Still, thanks for playing!

cute game.  story in 4 days thats amazing

Super cool game! Lot of work for 4 days.
Lesson learned: relationships > overwork time

Please consider playing and rating my game, too :)

I love your art style and wow! its amazing story

Developer

It's actually not my artstyle, just a basic assets from rpgmaker. Still, I'm glad you liked both art and the story! Thank you for playing!

Wow the story is written so well for 4 days! How did you have time to make ALL this!? This is so good. The only thing I would say is that the cover and menu don't really match the game very well I might fix that if I were you... But I had a lot of fun! Nice work!

Also I'd appreciate feedback on my submission if you get a chance!

Developer

Thanks! I'm glad you liked the story!

Because I used rpgmaker I did't need to code any game logic or movement or anything at all. I just had to make maps and place events & triggers. Also all the sounds, music, sprites and art were already available in the rpgmaker , so I used basic assets. All of that cut the time needed tremendously, so I could focus on implementing the story.

That is also a reason for mismatched title screen (there wasn't anything better for starting screen art). I could try to make some other art for game page, but I feel like it would be eiter false advertisement or just simply bad due to my not so great drawing skills.

I actually wanted to alter some basic assets so they could better fit, change some maps lighting and make different character models (at least with rpgmaker's internal constructor), but I didn't have enough time.

I'll be sure to check out your game too!

Okay that makes sense! Well you did nice work!

Quite a sad game, and I think the idea of a loop was executed really nicely here.

Nice job : )

Pretty sad ending, but actually I got stucked. I mean, once the story ends for the first time, I choose "keep"(don't saying the rest to avoid spoilers to anyone), and then the game says it will be in the next time, but I got stucked, I can't proceed because when I try to check the bedroom, I got this message, and when I check Mike, it don't do anything. Well, it was a well written story, congrats!

Thank you for playing! And thank you once more for sharing your problem! I found the bug! One of the switches in this scene was kept ON going into second playthrough, so you got stuck with the wrong dialog for Mike and were unable to proceed. That is sloppiness from my part and I am truly sorry for that!

For you and for those who want to see both ending choices it is best to manually save near the end so it could be easily replayed.

Or, if you want to explore the game one more time,  it would be best to just start a new game from the title screen (threre is no substaintial differences between first and second playthroug exept little one you might be able to notice right at the start).

First playtrough of the game must be fully functional with no ability to stuck anywhere.

Thank you for clarifying, But I was already enjoying the narrative, so you don't need to be worried about my rating, you received a 5 star in narrative category :)

Developer(+1)

Oh, it's not about the rating. It's just, I was extra careful to not leave such loose ends that can break dialog or lock progress, but still in the ending scenes got less attentive. Maybe that because I did not really believe that peole would go for second playtrough, but that not an exuse for such mistakes.

Still, thank you for your high praise of the story, it makes me really happy!

I see. Well, once the results of the jam are published I think you can launch an update to fix the problem

Submitted

It fit the theme well.

Submitted

Wow! I am thoroughly impressed. At first I was frustrated that I wasn't allowed to make any decisions to save the relationship, but once the twist happened it all clicked. This was fantastically executed!

Developer

Thank you! I'm glad that you were able to enjoy the story! =)

Feels nice to see a narrative game, well done! Did you do it on RPGMaker?

Developer(+1)

Thanks! Yeah, everything was done in Rpg Maker MZ.
