Your Average rank is #177 in GMTK 2025! Congrats!

Here is the link with all the rankings:

I felt bad that there is no average score, because some teams aimed for all categories, not just one. So I just scrapped the results page and made a table. I agree with Mark that "Overall" is questionable, but I still think "Average" is a valuable score, so I decided to share it.

I really liked sifting through the evidence and the long daunting list of records really made it feel more real and grounded(as well as the music titled "WOOOOOO"). However, I feel like the red ouroboros links at the bottom of personal pages seem to defeat the purpose of the link loop a bit as you know those always lead to the start page, maybe instead there could be some words about the killer here and there that lead to the start as well?

Also, just as in the comment far below, I figured out the case and that was really satisfying! Sadly the submit button is broken but you know this already.  Oh and the evidence board would be even more useful if you could copy text words from it without triple-clicking and selecting the entire note as now you drag notes around instead of selecting text normally. Maybe a handle at the top of the notes to move them around and then you can select the text on them by the usual mouse drag?

And the last thing: the answer form itself really needs some work, it should be absolutely clear if, for example, you should enter middle names, if you should include the "Dr." and so on. And most importantly, it should save between visits because it's realy tedious to write everything from scratch each time.

This comment may look quite negative but that's because I really liked this idea and as you guys want to expand on it, I think it's important to give as much feedback on the crucial features as possible. Great job with voice acting and that was really smart how you made so much content using different generators, really. It's a bit hard too get into but well worth it - definetely one of the highlights of the jam for me.

P.S. Hey I think it's the first narrative 5 I've given this jam

Thanks for playing the game.
Yea saddly, we realized it late that button is not working. Fix is pretty simple. Will add that as soon as voting period ends.
I think the introduction was not as well as we wanted. But the idea was that each one of the person has red logo was send by the serial killer.
I am going to add better control for evidence board.

your comment is absolutely welcomed here. hopefully you would also like to play the game when its in better state.
I am so overjoyed to here that you loved the narration. I am pretty sure you would love the whole game as well.
Hopping to see you again.

ps- you can consider joining discord.  (link on the game page). this is kind of our first game so we are still figuring our our stuff.

I was only able to play the game for a short while, and made partway into the 1st case- and I'm certainly returning, I'm intrigued already.

A few things, though: navigating between pages, especially trying to go back to a previous page is a little difficult. A set of forward/back buttons would help greatly. Also, the 1st case page seem to give away the plot twist early - but that is my personal opinion.

Cheers on the game.

Thank you so much for playing the game. Yes planning on adding some navigation system for that.

Also we are going to polish and complete this game. You can also join discord.

Thanks again.

Amazing game! made with HTML as well! It's complete with voice acting, making the game pretty immersive. I also liked the features it has, like the notes, etc. Great job!

You did a good job here! The vibes are really good and the intro cutscene adds to the experience. However, even after looking through the evidence for like 1 hour, I could not finish the first case. Spoilers ahead, so go and try the game first if you're reading this.

I really don't know what I'm missing, for the first question I inputted the names of the people who died, the doctor was Rohan Mehta, and their dates matched with the organ requests. For the name of the doctor, Rohan Mehta, according to Juan's note. For who wrote the note, Samuel Hayes, as his handwriting is the one that fits. Maybe I'm missing some key clue but I just cannot figure it out.

Still, you did an amazing job and I'd have loved to complete the game

Developer

Hey Notam, thanks a lot for playing our game! I'm glad you enjoyed the game. About the answers, I am pretty confident you got all the correct answers, it seems that while making some final changes to the game before the release, I kinda added an outro dialogue in the final section which broke the submit button on the 3 questions. Really sorry if that resulted in some time wasted, but hey you can rest easy knowing that you hit the nail on all those answers. Thanks again! (we will fix this after the voting period, please check again after the voting period if youre interested on the outro for case 1, and maybe potential updates!)

Insane audio with real voice recordings. Extraordinary creative idea and immersive experience of being detectives. Cannot imagine how much work you need to do during four days. Better to have Esc to go back to previous files though.

The sheer amount of content in this game is insane, the story is well-crafted, and it really makes you feel like a detective looking through files. It kinda reminds me of games like Simulacra.
My only complaint is that the UI is fairly confusing, and I was slightly stuck at that part, other than that awesome game.
8.5/10 ^^

Super cool idea, makes you feel like a real detective! including the difficulty.

Probably why I am not a detective. If you like mystery and looking for a lead or an answer it's really good! An enjoyable experience.
