Nice game! Last level was tricky but not too frustrating. I find the one way dash to be a pretty funny concept. I especially love the way the music changes when going back, nice job!
Level design is really really good. in some levels, I feel like I'm playing celeste! Sound track is fire too. Great job!!!
I like the premise of backtracking, and the one-way dash made some levels quite tricky. I like it!
Awesome take on the theme! Going looping back makes a lot of sense, and having the dash for only one way adds to the puzzle aspect. I like the little details too, like the animations and sound design, they add a lot! Great job :)
this is such a great take on loop! i really enjoy how different it is to go through the same level backwards. making it so you can only dash in one direction is also super smart and good for the level design! i really liked this one all the movement felt very juicy too! some of the jumps are a little tight but it's really cool!
Really tight gameplay, maybe a bit too punishing with the pikes' hitboxes. Having said that, you designed some really clever mechanics there! I am a big fan of not being able to dash in both directions, especially in the level where you have to dash towards a bounce pad to push yourself back to the starting point. Lovely stuff.
Nice work! :)
lovely game, tight platforming and fun music :)
Thanks!
This game reminded me of Celest in terms of platforming. very tight platforming. and very rewarding on getting it right. and sound design is really good. I can say you had put in a lot of time into timing them all correctly. using background wind to show the direction is a really an good design decision.
I liked your tutorials as well. getting jump right takes a lot of effort and it means a lot for a platformer game. love to see you get it right.
Wow, thanks for the kind words! Celeste was by far my greatest inspiration and it makes me really happy to hear that you found the character controller good, I spent pretty much the first two days making and refining it - I doubted if it was worth it but now I see it was the right call. Love that you noticed the backgrounds, too:)
Loved the mechanic, I felt that was very original!
Thanks, glad you liked the game!
really cool concept with the dashing mechanics! i love the sound design and the juicy animations! game is a little too hard for me but i made it to around level 6 i think. i like the dashing in 1 direction only concept along with the looping back to the start! good job!
Thank you for the feedback, happy you enjoyed the game:)
I really really liked this game! The way the levels are structured is quite honestly amazing. The dash only working one way sold it for me. And how the sound is implemented is perfect. I spent a shameful amount of time in the third level hahaha, yet I still pushed through it and found it to be a really cool game with really good mechanics. (btw, I'm not saying the 3rd lvl is unbalanced. I just really really suck at platformers)
Thanks for the kind words, glad the game pulled you in:)
This game deserves an award for sound design. And the way the character squishes when it moves is so juicy! I love platformers and this one had a very unique and fun approach!
But I was only able to get 3 out of 5 silver things! I couldn't see any more! Are there even deeper secrets I'm missing?
Thanks, I made all of the sounds in 2 hours in Audacity with some random noises I recorded, was my first real sound design experience! And to answer your question, 2 orbs are hidden behind secret walls on some levels. Glad you enjoyed the game:)
Secret walls?! Oh that's evil... anyone putting fake walls in their video game is an evil human being!
>_>
<_<
Very creative twist and very tight platforming.
The level designs were amazing, and I loved finding the little secrets. Awesome game :)
Love the music and how music changes left ad right, also the mechanics and level designs were so great. Well done!
Very nice game, I really like the minimalist art style!
Very unique and fun game, love the precise movement and the music
I liked the design and found the levels challenging! The level design is really good! I thought it was very fun and clever!
Glad you liked the game:) I had fun with this idea of going backwards and designing levels around it
the way the dashing mechanic was introduced was really clever. it was very enjoyable and unique
Thanks for the kind words and I'm glad you liked the game:)
Good music, nice art, love that there are secret hidden in the levels. The game is really hard though, the movement is really tight to avoid the spikes.
Thanks for the feedback! Yep, difficulty and balancing is definitely something I should’ve spent more time on.
