I like the deep theme to the game.
Congrats on getting your first fully rigged/animated model into a game!
Thanks ! Appreciate you liked it !
I really like how this game has a deeper theme, showing how people’s lives can be shaped by environmental factors, like money or simply being born with certain genetics and health. I noticed that the music pace changes each time we move on to another life. I think it could make the emotional impact even stronger if the slower-paced tracks were used for the less fortunate lives, such as those with lower health, less athletic ability, or less money. Overall, I liked the concept and how it reflects a deeper meaning in life.
Hey!
I totally agree with you about the music. I just didn’t have the time to implement that, haha.
Fun fact though: the tracks actually use the exact same chords and notes, but the mood changes depending on how I play them. It’s another way of showing that, while we all share similarities, our chances in life can be very different.
Interesting idea around the theme, and well done on your first model, rigs and animation! Very interesting!
Thank you !
Really liked how you tied in the Pierre Bourdieu’s concept of social determinism, also technically very impressive for a first animation rig. solid work!
Hey thanks ! I followed a tip from an animator who said it would help me to find 2D images like "walk cycle", "jump cycle" so I could use them as references, he was right !
Amazing work "You have a good idea; I love the music :D"! If you want to try something light and fun, check out my game Jumpimal. Thanks!
Thanks ! Tried and rated your game pretty good work !
A really interesting concept and incredibly unique experience! I like the interpretation of the theme and the visuals of the time going by with the background! Also, great job with modelling and rigging the player, especially as your first time in Blender! :D
Thanks a lot !
