Very cute and creative idea! I loved your visuals and your sound design. I did find the actual gameplay a little difficult and aimless, so maybe some more hints on how to get started would be helpful. But for a Jam this is pretty well polished!

Really cool concept with the cat as the light source, a unique twist on the usual damage-dealing mechanics! The art style is charming. While it took me a bit to get used to the mechanics, I had so much fun overall!

The dual controls were interesting...  I liked the art a lot also...  I was expecting that when you completed a loop that everything inside it would remain lit up... like the wizard could se through the cats eyes...  fun idea!  Keep developing it.

Cool idea with the cat as the light source! The controls took a bit to get used to, but overall it’s a great effort!

Awesome game! It was fun to enjoy till the end! Artwork is also great! Cheers!

I like the game. A tiny bit of feedback, maybe extend the light source a bit so it's easier to see a little further, and give an audio queue when damage is done. I was never sure if I doing damage with the loops. Otherwise, pretty cool concept

I love this gameplay mechanic, creative idea! The pixel art kitten is adorable (and hey, I’ve got a wizard character in my game too who's also is a cat haha xD)  Really love it

Really fun concept and I got a nice chuckle when the cat ran into the portal haha very typical. Overall, I had a fun time playing but there were a lot of enemies so I did not get very far xD

I liked the story, and there was cat, which is always a bonus. Could've used more polish, but overall good submission :)

I too would go in a random portal to chase down my cat

Developer

Hii, thanks for playing!

What can you do? Orange cat behaviour! ^^

love the intro sequence :) was a bit tedious to play, the idea is interesting but it feels like this was suboptimal execution, a fan of the general idea of controlling the cat with the mouse and the wizard with the keyboard but there's room to improve here!

Developer

Thank you for playing and for the feedback!

Yeah there are a lot to be improved, we ve done too many ideas in a short period of time.

The light with the cat is really nice, the map felt too big to explore all, enjoyed it anyway tho, cute game, i panic when a ghost stole my cat D:

Developer(+1)

Hiii, thankk you for playing and giving us your feedback!

We are glad you liked the map, and also I had the same reaction when I encountered the ghost for the first time when play testing. I'm happy it left a mark on you, haha ^^

Heyy, thanks for playing and telling us your thoughts!

We totally agree, a tutorial would've been great but we didn't have much time left to make it.. :((

Ran into an immortality bug, no exactly sure what caused it though. I also didn't quite get the main lighting mechanic til the end because lit ground and unlit ground were hard to tell apart since I was playing in a bright room.

An intro sequence was a really nice touch. I felt rather weak but I'm not sure that's really an issue.

Good job!

Developer

Heyy, thanks for playing and feedback! ^^

Im glad you liked the opening cutscenes, had a lot of fun working on them! Yeah, I think there were too many enemies in some parts of the game, we didn't have time to tweak that, sorry :(

Games with cats are always a bit more special to me! Your game turned out really well , especially the short story at the beginning, it really helps draw the player in.

Hii, thanks for playing and feedback!

Im glad you enjoyed the cutscenes, I had a lot of fun doing them! We are also cat lovers, so we enjoyed adding the little guy.

I like cat. Cat very cute. Cat in game? I like game.

Very cool game and super cute art style. Loved to watch the cat just walk around 😄

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing our game!

We like cat too :D

This game is very unique, I liked the cat being a torch hehe. I had one bug with the enemy wich is holding the cat. I mean the bug happened because of him I guess. But im not saying that its a bad thing after all I had two cats (: One thing I can say is that there could be more feedback for the player. Well done mate, good job

Hii, thank your for playing and telling us your thoughts! ^^

Yeah, there is a funny bug with the floaty thing when a certain animation plays, but we didn't have time to fix it.

I agree, some visual feedback would've been great.

Well done!

Cute way of making the loop!

I really like your art style! :D

Glad you enjoyed our game and also the idea :D

Cute kitty :3 The art and atmosphere is really good. There’s a lot that could use some more clarity, like what the pillars were actually doing to the crystals, and I wasn’t even really sure whether I finished the game haha.

Developer

Hii, thanks for playing and for the feedback! ^^

Yeah, we agree, some visual feedback would've made it clearer, unfortunately we wanted to do too many things in such little time.
