How does your game fit the theme?
You go through the typical loop of feeding and hydrating a pet, only for them to need it again soon. And once it passes, you loop back into a new one. Plus plenty of looping animations.

What an unique and interesting spin on the theme, gj :D

The gameplay is cute and I love the fact that the slime changes as you progress into the game, good touch. Overall great entry.

Developer

Thank you! The slime changing form was fun to create.

The slime is so very cute.  It was delightful seeing them give a little heart when I was petting them.  And it was a nice touch having the auto save and the manual save.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I have no idea how I made the slime that cute.

It sounds silly, but the autosave came from me constantly forgetting to hit save in playtesting lol.

Super cute game. The slime is adorable and the simple care loop works really well!

Thank you! I'm glad you like the slime.

This is so cure i really liked how the slime turned out! Actually ended up caring for the little guy, was so sad to let him go eventually...

Developer

Thank you, I love the little slime! I'm sorry.

It's a really cute idea, a bit like a desktop pet, I'd love to have more ways of interacting with the slime though. great job!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Yeah, desktop pets and tamagotchi were a inspiration point.

Yeah, I had a couple ideas, but there was a chance they would have taken to long to implement. So I stuck with just being able to pet the slime for now.

The slime looks so lively and cute!

Developer

Thank you! I love the slimes little movements.

Liked that game. My slime even turned Blue! I like to hover on him so that the heat appears.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! Yeah, the slime likes to be petted!

The Idee of keeping a small friend alive for a loop is fun. I personally would have liked some more interaction with either the resource gathering or the slime itself (maybe make the player catch waterdrops that fall from the sealing that sort of thing). Overall a cute little game!

Developer

Thank you! And yeah, that was something I kind of struggled with. In the end I added the ability to put the slime, but during development I drew a blank.

I like this cute little slime! It would’ve been nice to have the game still run in the background while in another tab so I could take care of it while playing other games but maybe that’s a limitation of Godot or web games in general. Nice work regardless!

Developer

Thank you!

And hmm, must be a browser limitation. It ran when I had it open another window ( but I use two monitors), but I guess things aren't ticking over probably when tabbed. Unfortunately, something I didn't catch in my testing I'm sorry.

Submitted

This is cute! I'll probably leave it around in the background while I play some other games. Good work!

Developer

Thank you!

I used this as background music while coding and to keep me from zoning out. I don't know if it worked, but it was fun to see the slime suddenly a different color. Nice to see a fellow slime game (kinda blobs are close enough)

Developer

Apparently there is a few of us! I've been trying to find them. I'm glad it acted as good background companion for you! I had it running when I was playing a survival crafter game when I was taking a break. Though that was before I fixed what my tester called the hunger sadness loop. So I never kept him full.

Yeah, your idea has the potential to be an actual game if you wanted to spend the time on it. Like something you check up on every day but with extra steps.

Developer

It's at the back of my mind. I'm currently working on a project that isn't ready for the light of day. And this was me taking a break from it. But there was a few feature I didn't add to avoid feature creep. Though saying that, the average player in this Jam is probably going to see 1 of the first 3 colors (and probably not seeing the higher tiers). But I wanted to award people who played it as an idler for longer with higher tiers.

That all being said, with peoples feedback so far, I'm considering looking into it at least. I want to see how the week goes. These games have been around for a while. Basically a tamagotchi. But it would end different but in a good way I think from it's current form.

cute & cozy little game. nice job!

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!

This game was dope. Wish there was a way/mechanic that would allow you to increase the time for feeding and watering the pet. Would love to see this fleshed out a bit more :)

Developer

Thank you, I'm happy you like it.

It was a feature I thought about adding. Though I didn't to avoid feature creep, because it would have required a lot of balancing and playtesting with the method I was planning.

Though depending on the games reception is, I may flesh it out some more in the future.

This was super cute! I wish there was a way to speed up the slime transformations a little bit, maybe with a potion or something? I love little virtual pets so much <3

Thank you. And I genuinely thought about it. But... it was a rabbit hole I had to steer clear of.
