Keeping up with orders gave me anxiety lol well done!

You got a lot done in four days... impressive.  Could have used a couple more days to polish, but great effort!

Thanks for playing the game! I definitely wish I could've added more creative game mechanics, but I had to settle on less so I could actually finish the game this time around.

I like the hell theme, but I don't think the game really fits the theme of the jam.

It's hard to interact with objects sometimes, it feels like the game doesn't react depending on where exactly you click.

Definitely an Overcooked! inspired game which is cool. I would've liked to see an interesting take on the genre but that's okay, it's just a jam. I would recommend that instead of using mouse and keyboard, you just use keyboard, whereby interact is E or Spacebar. Using the mouse gives a false sense of being able to click what you want to interact with which confused me a little bit at first. Definitely has potential to be taken further. Do let me know if you plan to develop this into a game of its own!

Thanks for playing! I had a hard time picking an idea I was comfortable making. The main twist on the game was supposed to be that you have to serve food as HOT as possible, and if they are not on the heat for some time, they become cold and ruined.
Thank you for the idea of using keyboard for interacting, it makes so much sense, I don't know why I haven't thought of it!

I would like to make this into a full game sometime, but only IF I can get some good ideas to make some unique twists different from Overcooked.

I love conceptualizing ideas because I'm just too lazy to make them lol. L:et me know if you want any ideas for how to make this an interesting twist on the chaotic chef genre.

Love overcook so i like the game. I would love to see what the clients want, because i feel like you can give them anything right ?

Developer

Thanks for playing! You can see all the orders at the top, along with the amount of time they have left. The game only accepts orders that are placed; otherwise, it simply doesn't take the order. However, I can see how it would feel like it accepts everything if a bunch of orders pile up.

very fun game! I love the overcooked inspiration! I can see how the loop is implemented bc you just have to keep cooking! Love the concept and very cool game!

I see we went for something similar! I struggled a bit actually interacting with the right objects though sadly.

This game is very similar to my game, but the game dosen't fit the theme at all... Good work in here. 🤗

I wouldn't say that this game fits the theme, but it's pretty fun.

This is a solid prototype! Aside from the cute hell theming, I don't see much that mechanically differentiates the game from Overcooked. I also don't see a clear connection to the Loop theme.

Further development and polish would really help this game. Consider what sorts of hell-related twists you could add to the gameplay to make it feel really unique. Maybe the kitchen catching fire could be used to your advantage?

Getting things off the cookers was hard. Only managed to get one beef cooked. But the game looks nice!

Developer

Thanks for playing! The object selection is a bit wonky, and I didn't have time to improve it. Initially, I used a raycast to achieve this, but I changed it to a hitbox that gets the farthest collided objects. However, I should've made it get the nearest object instead, or continued using the raycast.

What if instead, you put a small hitbox in front of the character and decide what to select based on what object it's overlapping? Technically, only counters, fridges, and cooking stations would be interactable, but would internally store what's on top of them/inside of them. Let me know if this idea helps at all!

Developer

I think this would work way better than what I have right now, but it would mean you have to be really close to what you want to use or interact with, basically, almost touching. I think I should find a way to get the closest object, rather than the farthest
