How does your game fit the theme?
"Cisuralian Cruise" is a crossover between two fairly different loop-like experiences: Flappy Bird (a famous endless game where the player loops through the same procedurally-generated obstacles) and the phantom train (a not-less-famous real-life attraction where people loop through the same sequence of scary encounters).

relaxing game, the soundtrack kind of feels like a lullaby
Nice game - especially if done in only 1 day!
I really like the spooky fish coming out of darkness, they are both monstruous and realistic.
Can't wait to see future versions :)
Surreal!
Simple and unsettling! I wish the player stood out a little less from the background, but otherwise the mood is spot on. Nicely done!
Hey, solid effort for a single day's work! Absolutely be proud of that :D The assets look great & i can definitely see what you were going for. Looking forward to seeing what else you can do with it :)
the art and atmosphere is amazing! i'd love to play again once the enemies are fixed to spawn at the players height
love from the USP Institute of Geosciences 🦕💚
I dont get how to play? None of my buttons or keys are doing anything, Im just sitting in front of a screen I cant seem to effect or controll?
Maybe the game window lost the focus? If you click on your screen and press any key, your character should appear (an orange slimey creature). Afterward, you can control it using directional arrows. I wanted to add a visual explaining the controls on the menu screen (I did not have the time to draw it though), what do you think of that solution?
yay amphibians! the music did NOT prepare me for the spooky fishy i immediately saw when starting thoug...... that doesnt stop the art from being great! keep making games!
I loved what you wrote about your game on it's main page! Nature is so fascinating, and I love to see when people bring their own unique interests into game development to make something no one else would think to meet. The artwork that you made was very good: combined with the summary you wrote, I think I have no choice but to come back here in a couple weeks and see what you've done with the concept, good luck!
Not bad for a 1 day game, just a little bummed that you can stay on the floor and get points with no challenge. Too big of an oversight sadly, but I like the idea
Thanks, and by all means, give me less stars, it is deserved! It was less an oversight than bad time management though - I had plans for the floor, but failed to implement my creature before the deadline. If you can, please come back after the jam votes end - it will definitely be there in the next update, and I can tell you it’s starving to meet you :p
Your game looks really good. Nice job on doing it in a day!
Visually, really cool but it feels like there was a bug because i didn't encounter and of the monsters appearing in the bottom, thus the game just played itself.
Nice concept but I think something got left out, I can just do nothing and it plays itself. Graphics are a highlight. Cheers!
The monster sprites work really well with the darkness effect. Music worked well for the vibe you were going for. There seems to be a bug/exploit where you can stay on the floor forever and rack up score.
really cosy theme!
Nicely done!
Neat concept for an infinite runner-type game, the art assets are really cool, and the darkness really adds to the phantom train vibe.
...Can't say the same for the music, though, the lullaby kinds of detracts from the horror-like style the game is going for.
Thanks you! Edit: For the music, I was aiming for a non-horror vibe (spooky yet cozy), but maybe it doesn’t suit the visuals.
Liked the game, only the problem is that the character can stay at the bottom
Nice job!
An issue I noticed: it seems like the character is safe if you just stay at the bottom.
Thanks :) You are right - I did not have the time to implement my mud-lurking predator. I will definitely do it after the jam votes end!
