Very cute and relaxing game! I liked it a lot!
The art is so cute in this game, collecting those bugs was an absolute treat (for me and the spider) and the web building mechanic was actually really smooth and there was no problem with it at all. The hitboxes were a bit brutal at times and the spawns were a bit unforgiving in the early game but luckily that isn't something that causes you to fail the game so after a few rounds and a bit of time getting things prepared, you start catching them in no time!
Really good submission, great amounts of polish and it looks amazing, the audio complimented it really well too!
The art is really charming and I really enjoyed how the web seemed to fill out in a way that felt natural, as I filled in gaps where the bugs were getting through. I do think that the bug hitboxes felt a bit small/unforgiving, but the game is very polished and well presented!
Silksong DLC came early
10/10
Very cute game! Cozy music, art, and sound effects. I had a really chill time playing this and really enjoyed watching the web grow! I didn’t manage to catch the last two bugs, one refused to get stuck in my web and the other never showed up. I’m still not quite sure how to increase my odds of catching a bug, it was quite often one would appear and fly through almost the entire screen and looots of web, and just not get stuck.
Good job!
This is so CUTEEEE! I love me a good creature/critter collector! I especially love the artstyle! Its also super addicting to keep spreading out your web and gradually making something super layered and complex. I'm also someone who is usually afraid of all bugs but you made them look so adorable! Overall really enjoyed this game, it had a great gameplay loop and lots of charm!
My only critiques are that the big rare bug(the one above the moth in the critter book just didn't wanna spawn outside of the beginning so I unfortunately couldn't catch it, and I wish the tutorial made it a bit more clear on what I need to do. But for something made in just a week this is insanely good and well-polished, y'all did an amazing job!
This is such a charming little project, and it really shines in how well it ties into the theme of Expansion. The simple yet imaginative idea of building a spider web piece by piece is both mechanically satisfying and thematically perfect. Each silk strand feels like progress, and before long you can look back at the intricate structure you have created with a sense of pride. It is a clever way of embodying the theme while also giving players a tangible and visual record of their growth.
The art style is an absolute highlight. The spiders themselves are endearing and full of personality, which is no small feat considering how easily spiders can come across as unsettling. By giving them big expressive eyes and soft shapes, you have turned them into lovable little characters that players want to spend time with. The background art leans into warm autumn tones, with the trees behind the window adding a seasonal atmosphere that feels inviting and familiar. The critter book is a fantastic addition too, offering a natural sense of collection and discovery that really enhances the replay value.
From a user experience perspective, the design feels considered and player friendly. The interface is neatly laid out, with clear controls displayed in a way that keeps the experience approachable for new players. Having the silk counter right at the top helps anchor the player in the mechanics, while the critter book being accessible at any moment gives a satisfying sense of progression without breaking the flow of the game. The pacing also deserves a nod, as there is a gentle rhythm to catching critters and weaving your web that strikes a balance between relaxing and engaging.
What impressed me most is how wholesome the game feels. There is a childlike wonder to the idea of being a spider in this autumnal little world, and the art and structure of the gameplay lean into that wholesomeness without ever losing focus on fun. It feels like a game that could entertain players of all ages, and one that encourages curiosity and patience.
Irl i'm pretty afraid of spiders and bugs but the ones in this game were pretty cute :) . Curious what the likelihood is for the firefly to show up? The completionist in me stuck around for quite some time but I never ended up getting one :(
Ah I'm sorry I'll be sure to add a mercy timer next time!
It reminded me of the mini-games from the old Bully game when class started. It reminded me most of all of art class.
Lots of fun and amazing art on this one!
10/10 cured my arachnophobia!
can you add a confirmation box when you click clear, I’m dumb and I keep clicking it accidentally, lol
Loved the cutsy vibe and the graphics! Gameplay was simple & fun, though at some point the game softlocked for me and I could'nt add anymore webs, no matter what I pressed and also I couldn't start the "critter invasion".
Very fun game! With more polish and a bit of extra content It has much potential :)
Hmm sorry that happened. Sounds like a bug, and not the cute kind.
Loved it, super addictive, It took me forever to catch all the bugs but I enjoyed the journey. Cute graphics.
Continue working on it, have a lot of potential. Great Job
Ah so glad you enjoyed the journey!
Well done, super polished and fun to play!
Thanks so much!
got the bug collection almost complete except the big bug! Really fun and cute.
Thank you!
I loved the art and animations! Truly amazing job there. I wish there was a more in depth tutorial though, I struggled to even start building my web but that might have been a me issue.
Thanks for playing! Sorry that happened the instructions page was a very late last minute addition that would have benefitted from some more work.
Just fantastic art and quality of the game!
Great job and congratulations on your submission!
Thank you!
Fantastic! Art, music, palette, animations, cute little critter faces all super cosy and Autumnal.
Very minor frustration at the beginning as it’s hard to catch anything until you’ve got your web closer to the centre but that doesn’t last long.
Captured that “just one more turn” feeling and I absolutely had to keep playing until I’d completed the collection!
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Cute game but couldn't get the last bug. That last bug made me rage quit. Otherwise it was fun at the beginning! IDK if how you make your web matters
Thanks for playing! Rage was definitely not the emotion I was going for with this. But no, no rules about how to build the web, very much one of those do whatever you want kind of games.
