General:

Congratulations on your submission! I especially like the game visually—the color palette is well chosen, and everything is easy to recognize and clearly readable. The game has a real retro charm, especially at the beginning with the short but fitting loop in the menu. The theme is perfectly met as well, with everything taking place in a single room. The theme of “intentional unemployment” should be taken with a bit of humor—though I think it can also unintentionally reinforce certain stereotypes.

The gameplay loop is simple but works well. I had some trouble with the controls at first, and I would have liked to be able to advance the dialogue with the mouse. In the game itself, however, everything worked perfectly fine. The controls feel smooth and responsive. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice at first that I had “defeated” a job; a short pause and maybe the option for upgrades would have been a great addition here.

Graphics:
As mentioned—the graphics are simple but I like them a lot! The color choices are excellent, and everything looks very clear and readable.

Music / Sound:
The music in the menu is well chosen; during the fight I could imagine a tension-building boss theme working great. The sound effects are also fitting and consistent.

Theme: Perfect!

Conclusion: A solid boss-fight game with coherent, charming graphics. Well done!
