Yes, as long as the intended shape (e.g., circle) is still clearly recognizable and you can not see single individual pixels clearly (because they are square and that shape is not allowed).
Just remember the first part. If they are solid color you can not see individual pixels. I only meant if you color some single ones different you see squares.
