Hey everyone, I’m Rob, a professional working full-time game developer / Gameplay Programmer with over 3 years of experience working on projects like Warzone with Activision, and building games in both Unreal Engine and Unity. Currently on unreal engine.

I created the Make Me Laugh Game Jam because I believe that humor is one of the most underrated design tools in game development, it brings joy, surprise, and teaches us how to connect with players emotionally.

Throughout this jam, I’ll not only be reviewing and critiquing submissions, but also giving constructive feedback to help you grow as a developer. My goal is simple: To help you laugh, learn, and level up.  Both as a creator and as an individual.

Whether you’re a beginner experimenting with your first project, or a seasoned game developer looking for creative release, this jam is for you. Let’s make something funny, playable, and unforgettable.

Rules:

• Solo or teams allowed (max 4).
• Any engine is welcomed (Unreal and Unity is recommended)
• All content must be created during the jam (except reusable assets with credit).
• Copyright infringement of anything will unfortunately result in a ban.
• No limits on offensive jokes or dark humor.
• Browser builds encouraged...
• No Sexual Content in any way since this is going on youtube...
• DO NOT INCLUDE a “How to Play” section (Your game must be easily playable without explanations.

** PLEASE READ ** Any Submissions have the possibility to be featured and recorded on my YouTube channel. All Submissions have the possibility to be criticized and judged. For the better or worse.

All Submissions must be subscribed to earn the reward ( FixItRob - YouTube ). All winners will be contacted directly with an email or on itch.io stating that you won and will have 7 days to reply back to receive the reward. Rewards will be given directly by email or discord. ** PLEASE READ **

Ranking & Judging & Prizes This jam is ranked, but I the host (FixItRob) will judge and score each game. Feedback will be shared on the jam page and/or YouTube channel for learning purposes. Participants won’t vote but are encouraged to leave supportive comments!

For prizes, there must have at least 10 qualified or more Submissions...
