Can't believe you pulled this off! Very cool to write, record and choreograph a rhythm game in just one week. I wish the button layout on screen would be more like the arrow keys on the keyboard, but that's the only nitpick. Very fun submission!

Peak artstyle and music!! Reallyloved the entry!!

Would've loved the 3D anime girl to react to my input by making a different poses.

Cool rhythm game! I wish there would be more particle or something when note was pressed, though, but still, really enjoy this one!

Very fun style and a really good rhythm game (even though I totally suck at them 😅)

Don't like the arrow keys being the control, I always mix up with up and down arrow keys (Skill issue I guess)

It's hard I know! There was talk of adding customizable keybinds but we never got to it. You can use WASD too though, so you could do something like A+W+Down+Right, might make it a bit easier.

Oh I should try that thanks 👍

Well done rhythm game! Both the music and vocals were excellent.

Keep up the good work!

A Wonderful Concept With A Lot Of Love Put Into It. The Beatmap Did Not Correlate To The Rhythm And Melody Of The Song Super Well, But The Game Made Up For It With The Charming Music And Visuals. Good Work.

Finally a rythm game in this game! I'm glad to have found this. I like the visual style, I like the song. I wish there was a scoreboard at the end to see what score I did plus the multiplier. I also with the notes would give more feedback when there's a sucess or a fail. Cool game, well done!

I'm bad at rhythm game but I like this game.

I'm surprised after I saw what game engine you use to make this game, Unreal Engine!? wow you must have an expensive PC aren't you.

Really loved the visuals and character design! The controls were a little hard to manage in browser, and I do think a practice/preview mode would have been nice.

Cool visuals liked the color scheme!

Wow, I realllly love the visuals and artwork in this game, it came together nicely in the UI too. I have played a few rhythm games for the jam and this one is the one I had the most patience with, I kept dying when it suddenly got harder during the vocals but I was digging the song so I pushed myself so I could hear more! Love the custom music, art, and the coding was pretty solid. Nice work!!

I’m pretty bad at rhythm games, so I would have liked to listen to the whole song to enjoy your work. Maybe a variable difficulty mode or the option to advance through the song without dying based on your score?

Fun rhythm game with awesome visuals! The song was also very catchy from what I heard, but I couldn’t get very far.

A practise mode where you can keep playing after running out of lives would be much appreciated!

Love rhythm games! I like the character art too! You could probably develop this into a full like horror project sekai game! Definitely has the potential. Real good job <3

Made it through with a friend playing 2 of the keys. While it might be against the game's premise, I think it would've been awesome if regardless of how you do, you can get to the end of the track and get a score (and then die if you don't pass), just as otherwise there's a chance you won't get to hear the whole song! Awesome work though, I really loved the art :)

That's how Taiko no Tatsujin works. It's interesting to think about how different rhythm games do it.

And thank you. I'm glad you liked it.

Looks cool but sadly I'm too bad to hear the whole track. Great work!

Is this the true power of the UE5 engine.

I can see potential here if more work is put into visual indictors and feedback. The character designs are pretty cool at least.

Developer

We used Unreal Engine 4.23 for this one. Specifically for the HTML support.

And thanks. I agree there was more needed in that area when I was finishing up with the technical art.

This game might not be the right fit for me, as I rarely play rhythm games. However, the art and music are absolutely exceptional. I genuinely wanted to listen to the full songs, but my poor skills prevented me from doing so. It would be a great addition if the game had different difficulty levels to make it more accessible for players of all skill sets.

P.S. If you get a chance, don't forget to check out my game too!

Developer

Thank you. You can listen to the full song on Yuvivi's YouTube channel.

We did think about making different difficulty levels, but ran out of time during the jam.

And yeah sure. I can check out your game when I'm next available.

Buttons should be more noticeable — it took me a while to figure out how to play.
