I start. Touch bed. Get one-shot. Refuse to elaborate.

More seriously, It's a really, really cool little jam game.

It's such a visceral, childish, and common fear to walk through your home in complete darkness after turning off all the lights. Heart pounding, convinced that something is chasing you.

Like others in the comments, I would have liked the monster to wait for us a little less in its scripts, and I didn't understand that I had to run in the final sequence, but honestly... I had several genuine scares during my gameplay, which is more than enough to make me forget these details.

good job !

A nice short horror game! The visuals, sound design and ambiance are well done.

The game really taps into that primal fear of the dark and builds tension well. The monsters design, while simple, works perfectly for the setting it's in. If anything, I wish the monster was a bit more of a threat, at least in the final section. It was blocking the path, so I waited around to see if it would chase me or something, but I ended up dying instead, and then realizing I just need to run.

I also ended up accidentally going to bed and ending the game more times than I'm willing to admit, which is triggered when you get too close to the bed. I think it'd be better to have such interactions restricted to a button.

That being said, great job on the game! Would love to see you take a crack at some more horror games!

Short, but sweet.

I feel the monster stood out a little too much. There was at least one moment where I was just staring at him and then realized I'm meant to walk a lot closer for him to disappear. The audio could use some work too.

That being said, there was a serious creep factor to the game. The ending didn't quite get me, but the build-up had me sweating bullets. There's something so eerily familiar about turning off the lights behind you. The walk back up where I had to turn off the lights had me walking backwards a lot of the time to make sure nothing was following me up the stairs, lol.

Visually, the game looks great; love the retro look. The monster had a neat, uncanny design too. Arguably, a short game is actually ideal for game jams like this.

Cool game.

Thanks for giving the game a shot! Thanks for your feedback! There was definitely some things I wish I could have changed up, but I only was able to work about 3 Days of the actual Jam!😅
I hope to in the future maybe just doing some bug fixes in all, and some polishing to make it a more well rounded horror experience!

Almost perfect entry! I love it! I like the feeling of the game, it's always been a fear to rush to your room while shutting down the lights. I like the cleaning minigame too. For the art, the game has a lot of charm! I really like the aesthetic, the level  design is also well made! My only concern is the monster, he was just standing there, no real threat and not that scary. I wish you added some animation or something to make him more scary. When going to bed, I didn't had a cinematic nor credits, some I'm kinda disappointed. But overral it was really really awsome!

I really liked how well the music matched what was happening. Especially when you had to turn the power on and he was slamming the door! good atmosphere and good submission!

I really enjoyed the atmosphere , it had a great creepy vibe throughout, especially the moment in the laundry room, which stood out as a highlight. The game was short but quite entertaining overall. However, I felt a bit let down by the ending since nothing really happened, and the monster didn’t feel very scary . Still, it was a fun experience with solid tension and mood , nice work!

the creature I felt was a rough bottle neck for my game. Sadly I don’t know anything about modeling and I think that definitely brought some issues in the mood of the game

This game had me on edge the whole time. I like how dark you made it I am such a coward when it comes to darkness and you did a pretty good job.
