Cool short game! There is some performance issues at first when loading the game and while in main menu, but it's smooth sailing after that. The sounds are a bit too loud and the sound of the window breaking for some reason plays when launching the game and again when loading in. Other than that the game was fun!

Good work!

Developer

thanks for playing

i had fun playing the game 3/5

tnx for playing!

I love that this was an adventure! Regarding performance, I think the main issue is when the game loads. I have a good gpu so my framerate was fine, but the game always froze when loading (and sometimes crashed). I had a great time with this game overall, great work!

Developer(+1)

thanks for playing!

Very fun! I was looking forward for more. The controls felt smooth and the directions were clear. The sounds were sometimes inconsistent (sudden loud sounds that I don't think were meant to be loud), but overall cool creepy vibe! I do wish I saw more of the monster though, I think they only appeared once in my playthrough.

Developer

yeah i definitely didnt get as much content as i wanted especially when i had to balance coding, making models, finding sounds, etc

thank you for playing!

Big fans of Overwatch Firewatch I see!

I had a lot of trouble with the ladder of the radio tower, I just couldn't climb it...

Developer

Do you possibly mean Firewatch?

and also you cant actually  climb the ladder if you had the portable radio the objective should have been "restart the generator" maybe i didnt make that clear enough

thank you for playing : )

Submitted

Oh wow yes, I must be tired haha...Firewatch obviously.

Hmmm, I actually had two objective UI elements overlapping at that point, I think I picked up the radio before getting the generator objective and then both objectives popped at the same time...

Developer

yeah thats understandable when you wake up the first thing you see is the radio so the first instinct might be to pick it up

A Short but enjoyable experience. Love the vibrant colors, really make the dark part scarier. The sound design startled me a few times. The only issue is the performance but I noticed other people have commented on it

Developer

bit late but thank you a lot for the feedback!

love it!! the colors look amazing and the monster is sufficiently spooky! i did manage to fall off the map on my first playthrough but its a game jam so things like that are expected lol. great work!!

also the ui doesn't seem to scale properly with the screen, make sure to set the project viewport settings to keeping the aspect ratio and canvas_items to make that work :))

Developer

thanks for the ui advice this is my first downloadable/ also 3d game, i didnt really think about scaling.

anyways thanks for playing!

Hello, I can't launch the game, it's a black screen for me :(

Developer

it might be because its too demanding i really have no idea what drains the fps so much

Submitted (1 edit)

I noticed that several Godot games aren't working in .exe but works welle in browser for me, strange. Maybe you could test the browser play?

Developer

tbh I dont think the game could run in the browser especially with it being quite demanding

Submitted

Developer

uhhh, I have no idea how that could every even happen

I had trouble staying on the path, preferring to walk along the trees, feeling a little camouflaged because… you never know.

I had a resolution bug for the UI screens, and two tutorial phase panels overlapped.

I appreciate the reference to FireWatch!

Developer(+1)

yeah the overlap is probably because the detection to change the objective is only on the paths

thanks for the review

The colors are great, especially the contrast between the rain and trees! The rain and thunder looked great and really added to the atmosphere as well. I would have liked a bit more time being chased by the monster to build tension but this was still really cool!

Developer

thanks a lot for playing the game!

The glass shatter sound effect at the start gave me a heart attack

I liked the minimalist visuals, but overall the game could definitely use some polish lol
Also, despite being very simplistic in graphics department, it still managed to run at 20-ish FPS for me. But maybe my laptop is too old

Developer(+1)

I dont really know what causes the fps to drop either its the tree and grass scattering or one thing i noticed but didnt really look at was a fine noise texture on the ground which is quite a large mesh it seemed to lag my editor a bit

tnx for the review

Echoing sentiments here about the vibe of the game being nice. I also really enjoy the use of colors here.

Developer

thank you : )

Game looks really good. I really liked the window pane shatter.mp3 and the overall vibe of the game. Certified w femboy respect :3

Developer

I like the aesthetics of the game. Even being fairly minimalist the atmosphere is convincing. The capsule image is really attention-grabbing too!

Developer

tnx a lot

I really like the color scheme in this game, the orange is really nice.  Also the glass shard that play are kinda loud. I have low volume and its sort of loud still. But Great game!!! yippie

Developer

thanks a lot, yeah the glass sounds randomly plays when the game is loading idrk why
