Thanks to everyone who played my game! This is a big improvement since my last jam, and I'm calling it a win! I'll try to fix bugs and add more content in the next few days!
This feels like a really good stepping stone to something really really good. you have wonderful colourscheme, great pixel art, the music is delightful. the only thing is that, there are a lot of stuff you could make puzzles/levels with that you just didnt. (like the boxes)
but other than that, it was a really fun game! i enjoyed it :3
Honestly, I had a lot of puzzles in mind to add, but time wasn't really on my side. I might add more puzzles and content in the post jam version. Thanks a lot for playing!!

I LOVE the minimal color palette choice with a simplistic art style, it's also BMO's colors haha (I love Adventure Time)
I enjoyed the boss fight and platforming too, the canon ball at the beginning was hitting me through the box, that was confusing and didn't feel fair. Other than that, you have a solid cute platformer, great job!

I like the artstyle, the simplicity of it makes everything really easy to read. the physics interactions with the boxes have potential to be expanded in to something really cool in the future. the controls are a little bit floaty, but one can get used to it. lack of controller support (movement was there but jump not) made so I had in the boss fight, open joy2key and remap jump to a controller key and that made so I could finish it afterwards. What you got here is the basis for a really fun lil platfomer.

Nice ambiance, good art style. The controls and level design could be tighter if you are going for a precision platformer. A good start for what could be a great game.

The art is nice and cohesive, the music is nice, and I like that the foliage wiggles and reacts to your movement. Two things though:

clean art, i liked the style. the boss was a little hard to deal with bc of the movement but otherwise it was a pretty good fight. About the 60Hz thing, you can use delta time to fix it (assuming it was on Godot, but any engine should have it)
Happy you liked it! About the health bar, I was already using delta time, but the issue seemed to be using move_toward() instead of lerp() to smooth it out. Thanks for giving my game a go!
Ok so this game has some good unique thing other game jam doesnt have , i noticed at first glance the wind moving foyagge , it is such a small detail but yet so good of an element to have in the game , the artstyle is very simple and clean , the environment does not feel empty at all , the movement are quite nice , but its again the same problem with other 2d platformers , the jittering on the character as you move . Mine also have a little as well though so i cant really complain that much.

Really great platformer game i loved the art and the sfx simple yet beautiful also the boss fight is really well done not too hard neither too easy i think changing the projectiles it launches would be better and more visible, anyways great game.

Only criticism I have (maybe it's a skill issue) is that the movement feels a bit slippery so its easy to slide around or fall off platforms

Clean presentation.
Was suprised having W as jump input, but ad(s) not as movement inputs.
One issue i ran into with the canons, ignore it if its intended, if you move a crate towards a canon and a canon ball explodes, if you push the crate forward the player gets hit by the remaining particles.
Otherwise I enjoyed the game, thanks for the submission!
Yeah, as I said to the others, I just forgot them, no idea how I added the W lol. As for the cannons, yeah, I'll fix that issue in the post jam version. It happens because the collision is disabled for a split second while the Area2D is still active you'll just have to wait until the particle effect disappears :) Thanks for playing and for the feedback!!
Very cute art, I also couldn't finish the last boss but actually because it really threw me off when it started jumping, I think it could've used some telegraphing for when it's gonna start shooting. Btw the health bar issue seems to be related to high framerates.
Thanks a lot! Yeah, the jumping can really catch you off guardd lol, I might add some telegraphing before it starts shooting. About the health bar thing, you can just set your monitor's refresh rate to 60Hz and it should all be fine. Really appreciate you playing and the feedback!!
nice little platformer, as other people said the controls felt a little slippery and I didn't finish the final boss since it didn't look like I was doing any damage when looking at the healthbar but I guess I should have tried again. Good job overall!
I'm not sure why this health issue is happening, it only showed up for the last three people who played, and it works totally fine on my end (both in Godot and in the Windows export) For the controls, yeah, I was going for a slightly slippery and floaty feel, but I guess I'll rework the movement in the post jam version. Great game! Loved the simplicity of it. The controls could definitely be tighter, they were a bit slippery, and for the retry screens I would love if I could just press Enter or Spacebar to immediately continue again instead of having to move my hand to the mouse. Loved the art style, and the boss definitely took a few attempts but still managed to do (by being cheeky and hiding above him LOL but he did once shoot me even through the slightly lower platform on the left side by spawning a bullet just as he jumped, so it clipped through). The boss bar also seems to be bugged (see screenshot, it's still full) but overall still great game and awesomely done!
The boss health bar seems to work normally for me the health drops by 10% with each hit, just as expected. And yes, for the retry screens, it would've been better that way. I'll work on a post jam version of the game to fix the issues and add more content! Thank you for playing!!!
This game is adorbable. The little dude remoinds me of BMO from adventure time! Super cute. Also feels really nice to play, super clean and very well polished! Good job!
I only with the boss wouldnt shoot right to the spawn passage where you have to get out immediately xD Also I didnt seem to be able to hurt the boss. I bounced on his head for a while. Maybe you can help me out there, so I can try again.
Also WASD would be greatly appreciated.

Like I said to Thinker, there were some very simple things I forgot to add like the WASD inputs. And yeah, the lil guy does look a bit like BMO lol. For the boss fight, you should be able to win by just bouncing on his head 10 times! Thank you so much for playing!!

Cool minimalist platformer! I like the small details such as the bushes and the squish animations.
The boss was indeed difficult but I was very glad that there was a checkpoint there. Speaking of which, it'd be nice to have more checkpoints across the level, I think, since everything is 1-hit-KO. I eventually beat the boss after about 6 or 7 tries.
Another small feedback would add coyote jump (or, if it's already there, make it a bit more lenient), because sometimes I would try to jump off a platform and just fall down into a hole. Oh, and another minimal one: I'm a dirty WASD player (my mini keyboard doesn't have arrow keys) so I had to switch to another keyboard to be able to play. Not a hassle at all, but something to consider.
The sprites and animation for the boss were real nice, the visuals overall are great. The controls felt good (other than the thing about coyote jump). Good job!

The first level wasn't that good because it was a last minute work. I'll probably work on a post jam version of the game to fix the issues and add more content!
