Player character is holding a sword but can't swing it. If not going to have an attack in the game should use a sprite without a sword and such to give expectations to player. For one reason, so they aren't trying to figure out what the attack button is, but also for general expectations.

Great work on this. I feel that the game could have been a more effective teaching aid, but there were a few good lessons in here like choosing a difficult password and not sharing personal information online.

i really like the approach of having educational game. and especially as education about internet security is lacking. gameplay felt smooth even though the assets were pretty good but didn really fit the theme of the game. not sure why the unsafe websites are wizards xD and i have a sword which i cant use. thank you so much for sharing! :)

nice of you to make this type of educational video game. the gameplay, while simple, did feel a bit clunky and not polished, but you still have time to work on it. like others, i suggest embracing the computer world theme a little bit more, including the audio. nonetheless, your idea is still very innovative and i see a great future for this game.

you can take inspiration from my platformer game if you’d like

I really liked the concept of mixing  internet literacy with gameplay. Cool graphics and smooth interactions. I have not yet finished it, but I am enjoying your game so far. Thanks!

Neat idea that it's an educational platformer

  • Innovation – The gameplay and art assets are very basic, but the idea is unique
  • Fun – Cool and basic platforming.  The jump height seemed like it was BARELY enough to reach certain platforms, felt frustrating when I was like 1 pixel to short reaching a platform.
  • Graphics – You should change all the graphics to be like you're in a computer world.  Instead of the "Unsafe Website" being an old man sprite, it could be an XXX popup with arms and legs.  The platforms could be webpage tabs etc.  Really go all in on the idea of an internet computer world (maybe even like Tron)
  • Audio – Basic and works.  Could use more ambience, like forest sounds or wind in the trees.  (Or is you go full sci-fi the ambience sound could be like a cyber punk city)
  • Polish – A great start!

Great job completing an educational game!  Please check out my game if you like Metroidvanias or platformers :D

Interesting twist adding the bit of educational value to a platformer, the boss level was by far the most fun to play. Not bad!
