In celebration of the release of GDevelop 5.6, the new 3D editor update, we're encouraging users to squeeze every last drop out of the GDevelop editor by creating a staged scene. The goal is to create something visually impressive and show off what GDevelop can do!

Projects should have eye-catching visuals and be a creative use of the engine. There is no limit to what you can create, and there is no theme. Visual experiences, non-interactive experiences, and games are all eligible for the event. You can get some inspiration from the latest section of this webpage.

The best submissions will be featured in GDevelop’s official presentation videos.
Show us what you can do with GDevelop!

  • The project must consist of a single 3D scene.
  • The project must have something in motion, or allow the camera to move in some way.
  • The project must not include offensive, discriminatory, or NSFW content of any kind.
  • The projects must be published to be played on browsers. (Downloadable versions can also be included if they are more stable.)
  • You can work in a team of up to 4 members, and only one submission per person/team.
  • The final submission can be a game or a visual experiment, no need to be playable.

► FAQ

How are the prizes split in a team?

The prizes will be shared in an email with you and all your teammates, then you and your team are responsible for splitting the prize among you. Except for the cash prize, the subscriptions and for the GDevelop credits.
    - The cash prize, is sent to one unique person who is the leader of the team (The leader is the person who submitted the game on itch.io). GDevelop doesn't split the cash, it's up to the team to deal with that once the leader receive the transfer.
    - If this event offers rewards such as GDevelop subscriptions, the subscriptions will be given to each participant. They can activate their code themselves by following this activation process.
   - GDevelop Credits are awarded to all participants based on the GDevelop username they provide when submitting their entry. No credits will be granted if the field is empty or invalid. Credits are awarded once per person.

What counts as a "Teammate"?

A teammate is anyone who contributes a significant amount of time or energy to the project and will be listed as an author/contributor on your game page on itch.io, as well as share in the team’s winnings. People who playtest, give advice, supply minimal assets, or otherwise don’t contribute a significant amount of time don’t need to be listed as authors/contributors, but they should still be credited for their work.
