Welcome to the TTRPG Bookmark Jam. This tabletop game jam is a spin-off from the ENNIE award-winning One-Page RPG Jam. In it, participants are given two weeks to create a TTRPG or TTRPG-related bookmark.

Submissions must fit on a common-sized bookmark (see below) and should be one of the following, or something similar.

  • Rules for a TTRPG, solo game, or lyric game.
  • Game elements such as random tables, game procedures, etc.
  • Play aids, such as rules summaries or character sheets, for existing TTRPGS.

As long as it’s related to TTRPGs and bookmark-sized you’re good.

There is no theme (optional or otherwise) for this jam.

RULES

Below are the core rules of the jam. For more details, check out the Jam F.A.Q and the Generative AI F.A.Q in the Community tab.

  1. Submissions must fit on a single bookmark. Both sides of the bookmark can be used.
  2. Submissions cannot include extraneous parts beyond the bookmark itself, but can require someone using the bookmark to have extra objects (such as a book).
  3. Submissions must be made during the jam period specifically for the jam. No old games reposted.
  4. Multiple submissions are encouraged!
  5. Submissions can be released as free, PWYW, or with a price tag. If you're charging for the game, please send me a copy so I can review for content which breaks the rules, and consider adding community copies.
  6. Label explicit or graphic content.
  7. Generative AI tools may not be used to create any images, elements of images, or text used in a submission or a submission’s Itch.io project page, except for limited modifications to a translation from another language.
  8. No hate speech or bigotry. Nothing that breaks itch.io ToS or local law. Be cool.

COMMUNITY

Join the One-Page RPG Jam Discord server and come together to discuss your ideas, collaborate on submissions, and find out more about the One-Page RPG Jam community. The server is open to everyone interested in TTRPGs in general and one-page RPGs specifically, even if you're not sure you'll be submitting to the jam.

You can also follow the jam on Bluesky or X.com.

MOSAIC Strict

If creating a gameable element, rather than a play aid or ruleset, consider making it system agnostic and according to the principles of MOSAIC strict. This is a popular framework for creating usable game parts that do not assume a given system. For more information, check out Michael Prescott’s original blogpost.

Templates

I stole this picture from a Google search, but it is indicative of the standard bookmark sizes from most printing companies. As long as your submission is roughly this size, you'll be fine. If you intend to get your bookmark professionally printed (or make it easily available for others to do so), it's worth checking the specific requirements of your given printing website, and to factor in things like bleed and safe zones when designing your bookmark.
