Nice and fun concept. In fullscreen i kept selecting the entire gameVideo for some reason making everything in a blue tint, dunno why.

You can kinda lock yourself out of the game in several ways, which is a design decision not all games want to make. Some randomly appearing dewdrops which the player can collect with the mouse could help there and even give the player a little side stuff to do. The tutorial was helpful, but for players like me with a really small attention spawn an activateable overview about all the stuff would have been nice too. To look things up what they did.

Controls where nice but there is a bug that selecting another building option while last building was on a valid spot places that building. A fitting cursor would have been nice, one of the toDos i try to never forget in any of my games, easyly done and has good impact on the game imo.

The graphics where to some degree ok but could have been so much better, especially for a fun concept like this. Would have loved to do the art for this one.

Theme fits very well too. In overall a very solid submission :)

Thanks for all the feedback. A custom mouse pointer is a good tip that I never really gave any thought to and giving the player a way to see the controls after the tutorial is a good thought. Also I should have included a way to sell buildings which would probably fix the locking yourself out of progress issues.

As far as the graphics go I agree that they could be better, but the problem is that I work alone and am much more comfortable with programming then art. Also I have to move fast so I can get everything else done. I could use assets but I typically want very specific things which I can't necessarily find in free asset packs. At the end of the day I would rather make the game I want then be limited by what I can find for free even if the overall look is worse then what a real artist can do.

Anyway thanks for taking the time to play and I'm glad you had fun with it.
