...I've already let our admins know when I said I would. Pestering them again is unlikely to help. And as explained in the unofficial FAQ, one week isn't unusual, or even very long.

Hello again, and thank you very much for your help. I really appreciate that you informed the admins — that already helps a lot.

I just wanted to let you know, very politely, that I have already completed all the steps from the guide and promoted my game on external platforms (Twitter/X, Facebook, Reddit, etc.) as recommended.

In total, it has now been about 15 days since I first published the project:

  • 7 days during the paid version (before I knew the adult-index rules), and

  • another 7+ days after switching it to free following the official guide.

I’m not trying to bother anyone — I just wanted to confirm that everything is correct on my side.
Thank you again for your time and for taking the moment to notify the admins.
I really appreciate your help.

Sure thing, but I don't know what the exact criteria are, so I can't tell you. It's probably not a simple set of rules. And two weeks isn't so unusual either.

Thank you very much for your time and for your explanation.
I really appreciate your patience and the help you’ve given me.
I completely understand, so I’ll wait a bit more — and if anything else happens, I’ll make sure not to bother you unless it’s truly necessary.

Thanks again for everything. 🙏

Hello again, I apologize if I’m bothering you.

It has now been approximately 25 days since I changed my project to free following the official guide, and about 10 days since my last message here. The game still does not appear in search or in any category, and it seems it is not indexed anywhere on the site.

Additionally, I sent an email with ticket number (322787), but I have not received any response yet.

I just wanted to kindly ask if there is any update on the review, or if there is anything else I should check or change on my side.

Thank you very much for your time, I truly appreciate it.

...For the second time, I've already let our admins know a while ago, and it's been out of my hands from that point. As you might have noticed from numerous other topics, response times can be long these days. I don't know what else to tell you, and nobody else on the forum knows either.

Got it, I understand. Thank you very much for your attention. I suppose all I can do now is wait, there’s nothing else to add. I also won’t write again to the support email for the same issue, as it could be seen as spam. I’ll just wait, even if it takes another month, since it has already been almost a month anyway.

Hello, this is Yehshua again. I apologize for bothering you once more, but it has been 36 days since I published my game and one week since I published the lite version without adult content, and it still does not appear in the search engines.

I have already made all possible changes: checked visibility, categories, tags, and shared external links to generate traffic. I created the lite version thinking that, since it has no adult content, it could be indexed faster, but it still does not appear.

According to the official itch.io indexing guide (Getting Indexed

), my game meets all the requirements:

  • It is published as public.

  • It has no restrictions limiting its visibility or search.

  • It has a cover image and downloadable/playable files.

  • I even published a free version without explicit content to ensure indexing would not be affected by NSFW content.

I understand that 15 days ago I was told that the administrators had been notified, but a significant amount of time has already passed and I need a concrete response. This is concerning because I am continuing to create more games, and I want to ensure this does not happen again; I am unsure if this delay is due to my account being new or if there is another technical issue.

Could you please let me know if there is any other way to request help, or if there is anything else I can do to have my game finally indexed?

I really appreciate your attention and patience, but it has already been more than a month and a week, and I need a clear confirmation about whether there is a technical issue or any additional action I should take.

Thank you in advance for your response.

...How many more times do I have to tell you that it's been out of my hands once I've let our admins know about your ticket. Please stop worrying about it. There's no guarantee that any game on itch.io will be indexed. You need to plan accordingly.
